James Wood RF | WAS
Nationals' James Wood: Records 10th steal
Wood went 1-for-2 with three walks, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 15-9 win over the Angels.
Wood was one of two Nationals who failed to log a multi-hit effort, but he made up for it with his trio of walks. He also picked up his first steal since May 29 versus the Mariners -- he was caught stealing on his lone attempt in June prior to Friday. The 22-year-old burgeoning superstar has hit a small rough patch, going 1-for-10 over his last three games, but he's still at a .278/.377/.553 slash line with 22 home runs, 64 RBI, 52 runs scored and 10 thefts through 82 games on the year.

Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Delivers three-hit effort in win
Garcia went 3-for-6 with two RBI and one run scored in Friday's 15-9 win over the Angels.
Garcia has put together a strong June, batting .317 (26-for-82) with 13 RBI and eight extra-base hits over 22 games this month. The second baseman was one of three Nationals to post a trio of hits in the team's 19-hit attack Friday. Garcia is up to a .273/.314/.424 slash line with seven home runs, 38 RBI, 37 runs scored, 19 doubles and seven stolen bases over 73 contests. He is holding down a strong-side platoon role at the keystone, with Amed Rosario encroaching on his playing time as a platoon partner after Garcia began the season drawing at least some starts versus southpaws.

Nate Lowe DH | CIN
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Two doubles in three-hit game
Lowe went 3-for-6 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 15-9 win over the Angels.
Lowe had RBI doubles in the fifth and eighth innings. The first baseman has four multi-hit efforts over his last 10 games, going 11-for-42 (.262) in that span, which also includes four hitless games. He's been more in touch with his power and run production during this stretch, logging four home runs, three doubles and 10 RBI. Lowe is up to a .232/.295/.402 slash line with 13 homers, 54 RBI, 35 runs scored, 14 doubles and one stolen base through 82 games this season.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Posts three hits, steal in win
Abrams went 3-for-6 with one RBI and one stolen base in Friday's 15-9 win over the Angels.
Abrams has eight multi-hit efforts over his last 15 games, going 23-for-63 (.365) with six steals in that span. The shortstop did a strong job as one of seven Nationals with multiple hits in this offensive outburst, but he didn't get to cross the plate. Abrams trended down in late May but has rebounded to get his slash line to .287/.358/.484 with 11 home runs, 27 RBI, 52 runs scored, 17 steals, 17 doubles and two triples over 69 contests.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Nationals' Josh Bell: Slugs homer in win
Bell went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI, two walks and three total runs scored in Friday's 15-9 win over the Angels.
Bell was one of two Nationals limited to one hit, but he made it count, opening the scoring with a second-inning homer. He also tied the game with an RBI groundout in the fifth. The 32-year-old is 13-for-49 (.265) with four extra-base hits and eight RBI over his last 14 games. For the season, he's maintained a mediocre .194/.282/.355 slash line with 11 homers, 31 RBI, 26 runs scored, four doubles and one triple across 70 contests.
-
Jackson Chourio LF | MIL
Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Goes deep in win
Chourio went 1-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI during Friday's 10-6 win over the Rockies.
Chourio broke a 12-game streak without a home run, putting the exclamation point on a six-run fourth inning with a three-run home run. The 21-year-old's four-RBI performance brought him up to 50 on the year just past the season's halfway point, but his .254/.285/.447 slash line represents a slight decrease from his rookie season.

Jake Irvin SP | WAS
Nationals' Jake Irvin: Escapes with no-decision
Irvin allowed nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits and four walks while striking out five over 4.1 innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Angels.
Irvin was awful, but so was his counterpart, Angels starter Jose Soriano. Things were ugly early for Irvin, who gave up five runs over his first three innings -- all on home runs -- before faltering again in the fourth and fifth. This was his shortest start of the season and the sixth time in 17 starts he's allowed four or more runs. Irvin is at a 4.73 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 71:30 K:BB through 99 innings. He's projected to make his next start at home in a tough matchup versus the Tigers.

Alek Thomas CF | LAD
Diamondbacks' Alek Thomas: Knocks homer in loss
Thomas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a second RBI and two total runs scored in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Marlins.
Thomas opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the third inning and added a solo shot in the seventh. After an 0-for-17 skid from June 15-23, the outfielder is 3-for-10 with three RBI and a stolen base over his last three games. He's batting .248 with a .662 OPS, four homers, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored and five steals across 71 contests this season.
-
Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Pops ninth homer
Perdomo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and two walks in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Marlins.
Perdomo is settling in as the Diamondbacks' primary leadoff hitter against right-handed pitchers, at least while Corbin Carroll (wrist) is out. In his last five games atop the lineup, Perdomo has gone 5-for-20 (.250) with two extra-base hits, four walks and a stolen base. The shortstop has been steady this season with a .259/.356/.416 slash line, nine homers, 56 RBI, 43 runs scored, 12 stolen bases, 17 doubles and one triple over 80 contests.
-
Jake McCarthy CF | COL
Diamondbacks' Jake McCarthy: Homer, steal in loss
McCarthy went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and a second run scored in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Marlins.
McCarthy slugged his first home run of the season in his 17th game with Arizona, and he also picked up his second steal. The outfielder has settled into a steady role in right field in the absence of Corbin Carroll (wrist). McCarthy and Randal Grichuk look set to share the position, but McCarthy has the platoon advantage. McCarthy is batting .100 with two extra-base hits, four RBI and four runs scored over 57 plate appearances in the majors so far this season, so he'll likely have to settle for a spot in the bottom-third of the lineup until he raises his production.
