Suarez went 1-for-2 with a walk and a two-run home run in Saturday's 17-5 loss to the Cubs.

Suarez jumped on a Kevin Gausman fastball up in the zone for his 20th home run of the season. He's recorded at least 20 homers in 10 of his last 11 seasons, with the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign being the outlier. After he was placed on outright waivers last week, there were no takers for Suarez, so he rejoined the Reds and should remain with the club through the end of the season.

Suzuki went 3-for-5 with a walk, a home run, two additional runs scored and two total RBI in Saturday's 17-5 win over the Reds.

Suzuki tallied his second straight three-hit effort as he helped lead the Cubs to a comfortable victory. The outfielder hit his 23rd home run of the season, but his first since Aug. 17, and he could reach the 30-homer plateau for the second consecutive season if his power stroke gets going. Even if he doesn't get to 30 long balls, Suzuki is having a strong campaign, and his current .862 OPS would represent a new career best in MLB.

Junk is slated to start Sunday's road game against the Nationals.

After getting the start in his first 19 appearances of the season, Junk was surprisingly used in relief during Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Red Sox, notching a hold while needing just eight pitches to deliver a perfect inning. Though he'll technically be returning to the hill Sunday on three days' rest, Junk shouldn't face any restrictions with his workload, given the brevity of that relief appearance.

Flores went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday against the Cardinals.

Flores gave the Pirates some breathing room when he went yard in the fifth inning of Saturday's win. He's been in roughly a 50-50 split for playing time behind the plate with Henry Davis over the last three weeks, while also picking up a handful of starts at first base. Flores has shown a boom-or-bust profile in that span, tallying six home runs with 15 RBI and nine runs scored across 15 games while also striking out at a 36.4 percent clip.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 17-5 win over the Reds.

Bregman didn't quite match Pete Crow-Armstrong, who erupted for three home runs and six RBI, but the former still helped give the Cubs a jolt in the lopsided win with his 20th long ball of the season. The veteran third baseman has now reached the 20-homer plateau for the sixth time in his 11-year MLB career. After a slower start to the season by his usual standards, Bregman has gotten going in August with a .952 OPS, nine homers and 26 RBI across 26 games.

Stewart went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 17-5 loss to the Cubs.

Back in the third inning, before Chicago took a double-digit lead, Stewart cut the Reds' deficit to 6-4 when he clubbed his 30th homer of the season. He became the second Reds rookie to reach that threshold after Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, who slugged 38 in 1956. Stewart leads the majors with 104 RBI and is one of the favorites to be named NL Rookie of the Year.

Singer (ribs) is listed as the Reds' probable starter for Monday's game against the Padres at Great American Ball Park.

Singer experienced some rib soreness during his previous start in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Giants, but he apparently completed his between-starts bullpen session without incident and is ready to make his next turn through the rotation. The veteran righty owns an unremarkable 4.72 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over eight starts since the All-Star break, but he's at least given the Reds some length, covering at least 5.2 innings in all but one of those appearances.

Burnes (elbow/shoulder) tossed two perfect innings in a rehab start Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Burnes needed just 17 pitches (10 strikes) to record six outs in the minor-league outing, his first game action at any level since he underwent Tommy John surgery last June. The Diamondbacks plan to evaluate Burnes following Saturday's outing and could opt to bring him back from the 60-day injured list for his next appearance, even though he's not yet fully stretched out for a traditional starter's workload and would likely be limited to a relief role in that scenario.

The Phillies plan to reinstate Marchan (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Active rosters expand to 28 players at the start of September, and the Phillies plan to reinstate the switch-hitting Marchan to provide the club with a third option at catcher along with J.T. Realmuto and Garrett Stubbs. Marchan, who's recovering from patellar tendinitis in left knee, is batting .206 with one RBI, five walks and three runs scored in 10 games thus far during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-2 extra-inning win over the Angels.

The steal was Turner's first attempt since Aug. 2 and first successful swipe since July 18. He has hit just .191 (9-for-47) with four RBI and a 3:12 BB:K over 11 contests since dealing with a knee issue a couple of weeks ago. Turner is batting .243 with a .676 OPS, 17 home runs, 18 steals, 51 RBI, 86 runs scored, 22 doubles and one triple over 131 contests this season.
