Rockies' Ryan Ritter: Suffers finger injury Saturday

Ritter is expected to miss "a few days" of action after needing stitches to close a cut on his right middle finger during Saturday's contest versus Minnesota, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Ritter was hurt when a pitch hit his finger while he was laying down a sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning. The infielder had to leave the contest and received three stitches, but X-rays returned negative. It appears Ritter has avoided a serious injury, but he'll likely need to be held out of action for a few days. Orlando Arcia replaced him in the field Saturday and could get a few starts at second base while Ritter is out.

  • Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Goes seven innings in win

Senzatela (4-13) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over seven innings to earn the win over the Twins on Saturday.

Senzatela had his longest outing of the season and just his second quality start all year, ending a three-game losing streak in the process. During that streak, he allowed 12 runs, including four home runs, over 15 innings. Senzatela wasn't exactly dominant Saturday, but he was efficient, needing just 78 pitches (52 strikes) to get through his seven frames. Overall, he's at a 6.41 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 52:34 K:BB through 98.1 innings over 20 appearances (19 starts) this season. He's lined up for a road start in Baltimore for his next outing.

  • Michael Harris CF | ATL

Braves' Michael Harris: Shows signs of life offensively

Harris went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Harris made an impact at the plate Saturday, launching his first home run since June 13 and drawing his first walk since May 18. The 2022 National League Rookie of the Year has endured a brutal 2025 campaign, slashing .211/.236/.324 with 23 extra-base hits, 46 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 95 games. While his defense remains elite, Harris entered the game with a 48 wRC+ -- the second lowest in the league -- making him a liability for Atlanta this season.

  • Nate Lowe DH | CIN

Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Homers in win

Lowe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Padres.

Lowe extended the Nationals' lead to 4-2 with a 402-foot blast in the sixth inning. The first baseman has three hits in two games since returning from the All-Star break, and he's homered twice with eight RBI and nine runs scored through 14 contests in July. For the season, he's slashing .231/.296/.401 with 15 home runs, 62 RBI, 45 runs scored and one stolen base across 408 plate appearances.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Drives in five runs

Albies went 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, one run scored, one walk and one stolen base in Saturday's 12-9 loss to the Yankees.

Albies launched his ninth home run of the season and racked up five RBI in Saturday's loss, though a bullpen meltdown spoiled the victory. The switch hitter has struggled throughout 2025, entering the game with a .614 OPS, 21 extra-base hits, 33 RBI and seven stolen bases across 96 games. He's come out of the All-Star break hot, however, with two homers and nine RBI through the first two games of the second half.

  • Yu Darvish SP | SD

Padres' Yu Darvish: Completes five innings in loss

Darvish (0-2) took the loss against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with one strikeout over five innings.

Darvish rebounded from a two-run second inning and was highly efficient, needing just 69 pitches to complete five frames for the first time in three starts. The veteran hurler still appears to be searching for his command, however, as he generated only six swinging strikes and has posted a 8:7 K:BB over 13.1 innings since debuting July 7. He'll look to continue building up his workload and improving on a 6.08 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in a road matchup with the Cardinals next week.

  • Nationals' Mitchell Parker: Logs quality start in win

Parker (6-10) earned the win against the Padres on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over five innings.

Parker allowed two runs in the third inning but was otherwise strong despite generating just six whiffs on 82 pitches. It was an encouraging effort after the southpaw surrendered 16 runs (11 earned) over his previous two July outings, and he's now logged two quality-start victories against the Padres since June 23. He'll carry a 5.00 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 70:41 K:BB across 108 innings into a road matchup with the Twins next weekend.

  • Joey Wentz SP | ATL

Braves' Joey Wentz: Clean outing in no-decision

Wentz did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing two hits and one walk over four scoreless innings in a 12-9 loss against the Yankees. He struck out two.

Wentz pitched well with four shutout frames, though the Atlanta bullpen followed with a disastrous performance. The southpaw has bounced between three teams this season with mixed results, but he's off to a strong start in Atlanta, posting seven scoreless innings across two appearances. Saturday marked his first start of the year, so it remains to be seen whether he sticks in the rotation or shifts back to a bullpen role.

  • Kyle Finnegan RP | DET

Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Rebounds for 19th save

Finnegan earned the save in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Padres, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

Finnegan was called upon to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning and needed just 10 pitches to do so. It was a strong rebound for the 33-year-old after surrendering eight runs over his previous two appearances, including a five-run loss Friday. He's now 19-for-25 in save chances this season with a 4.25 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB across 36 innings.

  • Otto Lopez SS | MIA

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Carries offense in Saturday's win

Lopez went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Royals.

After bringing home Xavier Edwards with an RBI grounder in the first inning, Lopez broke open a 1-1 tie in the eighth with his 11th double of the season, and second in as many games coming out of the All-Star break. Clutch hitting has become the 26-year-old infielder's forte over the last month -- Lopez has driven in an astonishing 27 runs in his last 21 games, a stretch in which he's batting .282 (24-for-85) with five homers, two steals and 15 runs scored.
