Perdomo (knee) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game versus the Rockies.

Perdomo was lifted from Monday's game and sat out Tuesday because of left knee discomfort, but he feels well enough to give it a go in Wednesday's series finale. He's sporting a .934 OPS across the past two weeks for the Diamondbacks.

Halvorsen (1-1) earned the win over Kansas City on Tuesday, issuing one walk over one scoreless and hitless inning.

Halvorsen was traded to the Dodgers on July 20, and he spent his first few weeks in the organization with Triple-A Oklahoma City as he continued to work his way back from a shoulder injury. The righty reliever was called up Monday and didn't exactly get a soft landing spot for his first appearance with the Dodgers, as he entered in the top of the 10th inning Tuesday with the task of preventing the Royals' automatic runner at second base from scoring. Halvorsen was up to the challenge, keeping the score tied while maneuvering around a two-out intentional walk. It remains to be seen how much high-leverage work the 26-year-old will get with his new team, but he's certainly in a better position to succeed now that he's away from Coors Field, and he's an intriguing addition to Los Angeles' bullpen given his ability to hit triple digits with his fastball.

Tatis is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Padres manager Craig Stammen will give Tatis a break while San Diego wraps up its three-game set with Milwaukee with a day game after a night game. Austin Hays will get the nod in right field in place of Tatis, who had started each of the last nine contests while going 9-for-36 (.250 average) with four home runs, three doubles, three walks, 10 runs and six RBI.

Tatis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in an 11-2 win over Milwaukee on Tuesday.

Tatis' loudest contribution was a solo blast to right field in the fourth inning. It was his fourth homer over his past seven contests, and the veteran slugger appears to finally be getting his power stroke going. Tatis didn't homer at all until his 56th contest of the campaign and had gone 12 straight games without a long ball prior to the aforementioned current seven-game power surge. His muscle has helped San Diego bolt into playoff position -- the Padres have won 14 of their past 18 contests and are now tied for the final wild-card spot in the National League.

The Nationals selected Kent's contract from Triple-A Rochester ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday versus the Cubs in Washington, D.C.

Washington designated right-hander Miles Mikolas for assignment to open up a spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Kent, who will be making his MLB debut Wednesday and looks poised to stick in the rotation for the balance of the season. The 23-year-old lefty has split time between Rochester and Double-A Harrisburg this season, pitching to a 3.72 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 19.4 K-BB% across 94.1 innings.

Stott will start at third base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Stott will carry a four-game hitting streak into Wednesday's contest and has been sizzling at the dish throughout August, slashing .424/.587/.545 with four doubles, five stolen bases, 13 walks, seven runs and four RBI in 11 contests. He'll also be making his ninth consecutive start at third base, where he'll continue to see most of his reps moving forward after the Phillies acquired Luis Arraez last week and installed him as their everyday second baseman. Stott looks poised to head into 2027 carrying eligibility at both second and third base in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Kolozsvary (undisclosed) went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Tuesday for Double-A Reading after he was assigned to the affiliate when he was activated from Triple-A Lehigh Valley's 60-day injured list.

Kolozsvary finished the 2025 campaign in the Red Sox organization on Triple-A Worcester's full-season injured list before signing a minor-league deal with Philadelphia in December. The 30-year-old catcher remained shelved to begin the season before starting up a rehab assignment in the Florida State League shortly after the All-Star break. Deemed healthy again after making 12 appearances in the lower levels of the minors, Kolozsvary looks set to fill a depth role at Reading.

Basabe went 2-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Houston.

Basabe singled on a bunt in the second inning and added another base hit in the eighth. The 25-year-old has been a regular part of the lineup recently and has recorded at least one hit in eight of the Giants' last 10 games. He's slashing .282/.293/.538 with eight RBI, five runs scored, three long balls and a stolen base across 41 plate appearances this season.

Koss went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Astros.

Koss lined a double to left field in the sixth inning, driving in San Francisco's final run. He's recorded a hit in three straight games and is batting .191 with three runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base across 49 plate appearances since the All-Star break. He figures to continue seeing increased opportunities for the injury-plagued Giants, as Matt Chapman (abdomen) underwent season-ending surgery Tuesday.

Giants manager Tony Vitello said that Houser will start Wednesday's game against the Astros in San Francisco, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Houser will essentially be making a second straight turn through the rotation, after he worked behind an opener and picked up a win while throwing five innings of one-run ball in bulk relief Friday against the Tigers. Trevor McDonald's season-ending elbow injury as well as the recent trades of Robbie Ray and Tyler Mahle should keep a rotation spot available for Houser over the balance of the season if he's able to perform well enough to maintain it. Over 23 appearances (14 starts) with the Giants, Houser owns a 4.55 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 65:31 K:BB across 97 innings.
