Soto was diagnosed with a minor strain in his right calf Saturday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The Mets will hold Soto out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, but no decision has been made yet on whether to place him on the injured list. The 27-year-old outfielder is optimistic that he'll be able to avoid a trip to the IL, but the team could end up putting him on the shelf if he isn't feeling better within a few days.

The Brewers returned Zastryzny (shoulder) from his rehab assignment Saturday after he suffered a setback in his recovery, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

It's unclear whether Zastryzny's setback is related to his strained left shoulder or some other issue, but it will extend his stay on the injured list all the same. He's slated to undergo further testing in Milwaukee within the next few days, at which point more details regarding his new return timeline should emerge.

Contreras isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals.

Contreras went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored during Game 1 of the twin bill, and he'll now watch Saturday's finale from the dugout. Gary Sanchez will start behind the plate instead and bat fifth.

The Rockies reinstated Veen (knee) from the injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.

A bruised knee prevented Veen from playing during the second half of the Cactus League, but he was cleared to begin playing in rehab games Wednesday and has since gone 1-for-11 with five strikeouts. Although he's now fully healthy, the Rockies will keep him in the minors a bit longer and give him a chance to get back on track at the plate before he receives another look in the bigs.

The Rockies reinstated Crim (oblique) from the injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Crim missed most of the Cactus League schedule due to a strained left oblique. He received the green light to begin playing in rehab games at Albuquerque on March 31, and he'll officially stay put in the minors now that he's been deemed fully healthy.

Butto will miss the next 2-4 months after undergoing surgery Saturday to remove a blood clot from his right arm, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Butto was diagnosed with a blood clot after leaving his appearance Wednesday against San Diego with arm fatigue. The recovery timeline leaves room for him to return to the Giants' bullpen before the end of the season, though that likely won't happen until closer to or after the All-Star break.

Walker went 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-6 loss to the Tigers.

The 23-year-old outfielder supplied most of the Cardinals' offense on the afternoon with a grand slam off Drew Anderson in the fifth inning. The homer was Walker's second of the season while the steal was his first, and through eight games he's batting .296 (8-for-27) with seven runs, eight RBI and a 3:7 BB:K. It's still early, but Walker is showing signs of finally breaking out and turning his prodigious upside into actual production.

Henderson will join the Brewers as the 27th man and start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

After striking out five batters over three innings during his first outing at Triple-A Nashville, Henderson is now set to make his season debut in the big leagues. He showed plenty of promise last year while posting a 1.78 ERA and 0.99 WHIP alongside a 33:8 K:BB over 25.1 regular-season frames across his first five MLB starts, but he was never able to lock down a full-time spot in Milwaukee's rotation. Brandon Sproat is expected to take over on the mound once Henderson is removed, and the latter will most likely be returned to Nashville after the game.

May (0-2) took the loss Saturday, surrendering seven runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.1 innings as the Cardinals were downed 11-6 by the Tigers. He struck out four.

A two-run homer by Kerry Carpenter in the first inning set the tone, as Detroit ended up slugging four long balls on the afternoon, with two of them coming against May. The right-hander tossed 79 pitches (48 strikes) in another rough outing to begin his tenure with the Cards, and through 7.1 innings he's stumbled to a 15.95 ERA, 2.73 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB. May will try to right the ship in his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the team he ended the 2025 campaign with, the Red Sox.

Imanaga won't start as scheduled Saturday against the Guardians, as the game was postponed due to rain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

The two teams will play a doubleheader Sunday to make up Saturday's game, and Imanaga will take the mound during the nightcap, per Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network. The 32-year-old southpaw will be looking to bounce back from a poor showing in his season debut, during which he allowed four earned runs on six hits and two walks over five innings.
