  • Phillies' Daniel Robert: Out with forearm strain

The Phillies placed Robert on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right forearm strain.

He'll be eligible to return Sept. 17, but the nature of the injury points to Robert's season potentially being over. Robert holds a 4.15 ERA and 15:10 K:BB over 13 innings out of the bullpen for Philadelphia.

  • Kyle Tucker RF | LAD

Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Out Wednesday, as expected

Tucker (calf) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

As anticipated, the Cubs will hold Tucker out of the lineup for the series finale after the star outfielder was removed from Tuesday's 4-3 win due to left calf tightness. According to Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com, Tucker said that his calf had been bothering him for a few days leading up to Tuesday, but the 28-year-old was still able to come through with a three-run, opposite-field home run in the bottom of the third inning before he was lifted from the game in the top of the seventh. The Cubs are hopeful that by keeping Tucker out of the lineup Wednesday, he'll be ready to play in the weekend series with the Nationals following Thursday's team off day.

  • Roki Sasaki SP | LAD

Dodgers' Roki Sasaki: Shaky in fourth rehab start

Sasaki (shoulder) struck out two batters and allowed four earned runs on three hits and two walks in his rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He also hit a batter.

Though the 69 pitches (42 strikes) that Sasaki threw marked a slight step back from the 75 pitches he tossed his last time out Aug. 26, he was more efficient, which enabled him to reach five innings for the first time in four rehab outings. The right-hander wasn't quite as sharp as the Dodgers had likely hoped, however; two of the three hits he gave up left the yard, and he now owns an unremarkable 8:8 K:BB over 14 innings on the farm. The Dodgers are letting Sasaki get stretched out as a starter, but the big club wouldn't appear to have an opening for him in its six-man rotation. If Sasaki bypasses another rehab start and gets activated from the 60-day injured list, he could be deployed out of the bullpen.

  • Henry Davis C | PIT

Pirates' Henry Davis: Exiting starting nine

Davis is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Davis will be getting a routine day off after he started at catcher in each of the previous two contests. Joey Bart will be behind the dish and bat eighth for the Pirates in Wednesday's series finale.

  • Cam Devanney 3B | PIT

Pirates' Cam Devanney: Third straight start at hot corner

Devanney will start at third base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game versus the Dodgers.

Devanney will pick up a third straight start at the hot corner after the Pirates lost Isiah Kiner-Falefa to waivers Sunday. Thus far, Devanney has gone 0-for-7 with five strikeouts, so he may have a short leash atop the depth chart at third base.

  • Dodgers' Michael Conforto: Taking seat Wednesday

Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

The left-handed-hitting Conforto will hit the bench against right-hander Braxton Ashcraft, paving the way for Alex Call to pick up a start in left field. In addition to facing competition from Call, Conforto's standing atop the depth chart in left field could be threatened by the recent reinstatement of Hyeseong Kim, who made three starts at the position during his rehab assignment.

  • Joel Payamps RP | ATL

Brewers' Joel Payamps: Back in big-league bullpen

The Brewers selected Payamps' contract from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

Payamps was removed from the Brewers' 40-man roster back in May after holding an 8.35 ERA and 1.69 WHIP through 18.1 innings with the big club. However, he's made his way back to the majors after posting a 4.73 ERA and 30:6 K:BB across 26.2 frames with Nashville.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Sitting after three straight starts

Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

After manning the keystone in each of the last three contests, Rojas will give way to Alex Freeland at second base Wednesday. Though Hyeseong Kim has yet to make a start in either of the Dodgers' two games since he was activated from the injured list Monday, his presence provides a potential roadblock to Rojas handling a full-time role in the Los Angeles infield.

  • Hye Seong Kim SS | LAD

Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Not starting again Wednesday

Kim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

After being reinstated from the injured list Monday, Kim has now been left out of the starting nine for the first two games of the Dodgers' series in Pittsburgh, with both of the left-handed-hitting rookie's absences coming against right-handed starters. The Dodgers will instead go with Alex Call in left field, Alex Freeland at second base and Enrique Hernandez at third base Wednesday.

  • Shelby Miller RP | CHC

Brewers' Shelby Miller: Out for season with UCL sprain

The Brewers placed Miller on the 60-day injured list Wednesday due to a right elbow UCL sprain.

Miller suffered the injury during an appearance in Monday's 10-8 loss to the Phillies. According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, Miller acknowledged that he could require the second Tommy John surgery of his career to address the UCL injury, but even if he opts to treat the injury with rest and rehab, he won't be eligible to pitch again this season. Joel Payamps was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take Miller's spot on the 40-man roster and in the bullpen.
