Hendricks (8-10) allowed three hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven shutout innings to earn the win Saturday versus the Rockies.

This was Hendricks' fourth scoreless outing of the season, two of which have come in September. Saturday's performance was a big bounce-back effort for the right-hander, who had been shelled for nine runs in 3.1 innings in his previous start against Seattle. Hendricks lowered his ERA to 4.79 and has added a 1.28 WHIP and 106:43 K:BB through 159.2 innings over 30 starts this season. He is projected for one more start this season, which is lined up to be at home against the Astros.

Vest (6-5) blew the save and took the loss Saturday. giving up two runs on four hits in two-thirds of an inning. He struck out two.

The blown save was Vest's seventh of the year, and second in his last four chances. Over his last 10 appearances, the right-hander has stumbled to a 6.75 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 9:6 K:BB over 10.2 innings, and with Kyle Finnegan back from the IL, Vest may not see many more save chances over the final days of the regular season.

Montero didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-5 loss to Atlanta, giving up three runs on two hits and four walks over three innings. He struck out two.

The right-hander needed 69 pitches (40 strikes) to record nine outs, and both hits off Montero left the yard in the third to help chase him from the game. Since returning to the majors in September, Montero's posted a 3.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB through four appearances (two starts) and 13 innings. He's expected to make one more start before the end of the regular season, on the road next weekend in Boston.

Chapman earned the save Saturday against the Rays, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Chapman collected save No. 31 on the season, and he has successfully converted each of his last 14 save opportunities. The veteran southpaw is a candidate to bring home what would be second career American League Reliever of the Year Award, delivering a stellar 1.21 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 83:15 K:BB over 59.1 innings. Chapman has a 30-save season for the first time since 2021 and the ninth time in his career.

Kelly will start Sunday's game against the Marlins, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Patrick Corbin was lined up to start, but he'll have his turn skipped due to the Rangers having an off day Thursday. Texas is clinging to very slim playoff hopes, so the team will instead turn to Kelly, who has a solid 4.06 ERA and 1.22 WHIP since being acquired at the trade deadline.

Pena went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and walk in Saturday's 6-4 loss to Seattle.

The Houston shortstop poked a 340-foot grand slam into the Crawford Boxes off reliever Carlos Vargas in the seventh to make the score 6-4. Pena has been a reliable contributor in September, batting .301 (22-for-73) with three homers, one steal, 12 runs scored and 12 RBI in 17 games. Through 543 total plate appearances, the one-time All-Star is now slashing .304/.363/.477 with 17 long balls, 20 stolen bases, 68 runs scored and 62 RBI.

Munoz collected the save in Saturday's 6-4 win at Houston, allowing a walk, a hit-by-pitch and no hits over a scoreless frame. He struck out one.

The Seattle flamethrower worked around a leadoff runner to pocket the 77th save of his six-year career. Munoz has now completed eight consecutive scoreless outings, over which he's produced a 0.63 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB across eight innings. Overall, the 26-year-old has been one of the league's best relievers this season, producing a 1.49 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 81:26 K:BB in 60.1 innings while converting 37 of 44 save opportunities.

Kirby (10-7) earned the win Saturday at Houston, pitching six scoreless innings while allowing five hits and no walks. He struck out seven.

The Seattle right-hander reached double figures in wins for the third consecutive season with this 100-pitch effort. The Astros never came close to sniffing a run against Kirby, who didn't allow an extra-base hit and tallied his 12th quality start of the season. Through 121 total frames, the 27-year-old now sports a 4.24 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 127:28 K:BB. Kirby tentatively projects to make his final start of the season at home against the vaunted Dodgers next weekend.

Volpe went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Orioles.

Volpe singled, stole second and scored to extend the Yankees' lead to 6-0 in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old is hitting just .200 through 11 September contests, though he's shown signs of life with two multi-hit efforts and two stolen bases over his past four games. For the season, he's slashing .210/.272/.396 with 19 home runs, 71 RBI, 63 runs scored and 18 steals across 572 plate appearances.

Valdez (12-11) took the loss in the Saturday's contest against the Mariners, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

The Houston southpaw issued four free passes for the second consecutive outing, and he's now yielded four or more walks eight times this season across 30 total starts. The Seattle lineup kept peppering Valdez with baserunners and runs, with the fourth inning the only frame in which he didn't allow a run. The 31-year-old lefty has labored since the All-Star break, producing an uncharacteristic 5.63 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 64 frames. Valdez is currently scheduled to make his final start of the season on the road against the Athletics next week.
