The Blue Jays traded Jansen to the Red Sox on Saturday in exchange for infielders Cutter Coffey and Eddinson Paulino and right-hander Gilberto Batista.
Jansen has split catching duties with Alejandro Kirk this season, logging 228 plate appearances across 61 games. Jansen has had a down season at the plate, posting his worst OPS (.672) and ISO (.157) since 2020 with a .212 batting average.
