  • Aaron Judge RF | NYY

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Perfect at plate Saturday

Judge went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, two walks, three total RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 11-8 extra-inning win over the Red Sox.

It was a masterclass at the plate from one of the best hitters in the game. Judge has racked up five multi-hit efforts over his last 10 games, going 13-for-33 (.394) with four homers, 11 RBI and 13 walks in that span. The star outfielder is up to 37 homers, 95 RBI, 80 runs scored, five stolen bases, 25 doubles and a .314/.445/.686 slash line through 104 contests.

  • Clay Holmes SP | CHC

Yankees' Clay Holmes: Tosses two scoreless innings

Holmes (2-4) earned the extra-inning win Saturday over the Red Sox, walking one and striking out two over two scoreless and hitless innings.

Holmes had blown two straight save chances entering Saturday. He didn't have a lead to protect in the ninth inning of this game, but he kept it tied, and then stayed on to defend a three-run lead in the 10th. Holmes is now at a 2.74 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 45:11 K:BB with 21 saves in 28 chances this season. Despite some rough outings lately, his status as the Yankees' closer is not in question.

  • Marcus Stroman SP | NYY

Yankees' Marcus Stroman: Struggles in short start

Stroman allowed five runs (three earned) on nine hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over 3.1 innings in a no-decision Saturday versus the Red Sox.

Stroman has failed to complete five innings in three of his last five starts, and he's lost the two outings in that span. The Red Sox did their damage against him in the first two innings, and Stroman exited at 60 pitches (34 strikes) after recording just 10 outs. For the season, he's carrying a 3.64 ERA, but that's up from 3.29 at the end of June. He's added a 1.35 WHIP and 83:48 K:BB through 113.2 innings over 21 starts. The veteran right-hander is tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Blue Jays.

  • Luis Robert CF | BAL

White Sox's Luis Robert: Nabs steal, dons golden sombrero

Robert went 0-for-5 with a stolen base, a run scored and four strikeouts in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Mariners.

Robert has racked up 10 steals over 21 contests in July, despite batting .228 in that span. A strikeout problem has contributed to the low average and reached its nadir Saturday with his second golden sombrero of the campaign. Robert has struck out multiple times in eight of his nine games since the All-Star break and is now fanning at a 36.6 percent rate this year. He's managed 13 steals, 12 home runs, 24 RBI and 25 runs scored while slashing .214/.287/.449 through 52 contests.

  • Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Knocks in three runs in loss

Renfroe went 3-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI in a loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

Renfroe swatted a solo homer in the second inning and added a two-run single in the sixth. He finished with his first multi-hit game since July 14 and just his second three-hit performance of the campaign. Renfroe has never hit fewer than 20 long balls in his six full big-league campaigns, but he has some work to do if he's going to extend that streak since he's at only 10 home runs this season.

  • Brooks Baldwin SS | CHW

White Sox's Brooks Baldwin: Notches second steal

Baldwin went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Mariners.

Baldwin earned the first multi-hit effort of his big-league career, and all three of his doubles in the majors have come over the last two games. He also picked up his second steal. Baldwin is still hitting just .207 over nine contests, but the White Sox appear committed to giving him a long look at second base in the second half. His speed is his best asset, but that won't shine through until he gets on base more consistently.

  • Erick Fedde RP | CHW

White Sox's Erick Fedde: Stumbles versus Seattle

Fedde (7-4) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings to take the loss versus the Mariners on Saturday.

Fedde wasn't sharp, throwing 47 of 79 pitches for strikes in his shortest start of the season. He ran into trouble the second time through the order, as the Mariners put up all three runs on his line in the fourth inning. It was the first time over four starts in July he allowed more than two runs. The right-hander has been a pleasant surprise this year with a 3.11 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 108:34 K:BB through 121.2 innings over 21 starts. His career high for innings in a year in North America is 138.1 frames back in 2021, but he threw 180.1 innings in the KBO last year, so fatigue down the stretch shouldn't be an issue. Fedde is a likely trade candidate and this may have been his last start in a White Sox uniform.

  • Victor Robles RF | SEA

Mariners' Victor Robles: Three hits from leadoff spot

Robles went 3-for-6 with one RBI in Saturday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.

This was Robles' second game in a row in the leadoff spot, and he did a good job of setting the table. The Mariners didn't knock him in but still put up 12 hits as a team, including three home runs. Robles is batting .300 (12-for-30) over eight games since the All-Star break and finally looks to have a larger role due to the absence of Julio Rodriguez (ankle). Robles is slashing .302/.396/.430 with two home runs, seven RBI, nine runs scored and 12 stolen bases over 104 plate appearances this season.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Blasts 21st homer

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.

This was Raleigh's first long ball of the second half. He's hit safely in four of his last five games, going 5-for-18 with three walks in that span. The catcher continues to display excellent power with 21 homers and a .426 slugging percentage, but he's batting just .213 on the year. He's added 63 RBI, 43 runs scored, 10 doubles and five stolen bases through 100 contests.

  • Orioles' Cedric Mullins: Homer, four RBI in loss

Mullins went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Padres.

Mullins did all of the damage for the Orioles, driving in two on a double in the seventh inning and launching a two-run homer in the ninth. The outfielder has started five of eight games since the All-Star break but has five hits and two long balls in those contests. On the season, he is batting .217 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI, 42 runs scored and 17 steals across 311 plate appearances.
