Bello did not factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 win over Texas, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out five.
The 25-year-old notched his eighth quality start of the season -- and third since the All-Star break -- with this 95-pitch appearance. Bello held the Rangers to no extra-base hits, as the only run he yielded came on a Marcus Semien knock in the fifth inning. Post-break, the Boston right-hander has pitched to a 3.86 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB over 29 innings across five starts. Tyler Mahle SP | ATL
Rangers' Tyler Mahle: Fans seven in no-decision
Mahle did not factor into the decision in Monday's loss to Boston, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out seven.
The Texas righty generated 15 whiffs en route to his seven punchouts, as he fired 92 pitches in this performance. However, Mahle did struggle with his control at times -- a hallmark of those returning from an elbow injury -- as he allowed three free passes against a patient Red Sox team that took walked nine times total in the contest. After his first 9.2 innings with the Rangers, Mahle's ERA now stands at 2.79 with 9:4 K:BB. He is scheduled to make his next start against the Twins at home this weekend.

Royals' Bobby Witt: Sent for tests following HBP
Witt was diagnosed with a bruise after being hit by a pitch on his left forearm/wrist during Monday's loss to the Twins, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
The team sent Witt for imaging after the game likely as a precaution, and the results came back negative. Kansas City's medical staff figures to give the star shortstop a quick look Tuesday to make sure there isn't any significant swelling, but all signs point to him being in the starting lineup for the second game of the series.

The Rays plan to recall Caminero from Triple-A Durham ahead of Tuesday's game against the Astros, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Prior to Monday's promotion, he was batting .276 with 13 home runs, 34 RBI, one stolen base and 33 runs scored in 53 games for Durham. Twins' Pablo Lopez: Secures 11th victory
Lopez (11-8) earned the win Monday against the Royals, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out five.
The Minnesota righty picked up his 12th quality start of the season with this 96-pitch effort. He looked to be in for a rough outing after allowing a solo homer -- his 22nd given up this season -- to Bobby Witt in the opening frame. However, Lopez settled in and generated a solid 15 whiffs en route to his fifth career win against Kansas City. The 28-year-old has been dependable since the All-Star break, going 3-1 with a 3.19 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB over 31 innings. He is currently slated to face the Rangers on the road for his next start this weekend.
