Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Out with shoulder inflammation
The Orioles placed Kittredge (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Kittredge developed right shoulder inflammation in early March. He will be eligible for activation April 6, and at last check the Orioles were expecting him to be ready to go on that date. Once healthy, Kittredge will fill a setup role.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Sent to 15-day injured list
The Rays placed Uceta (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Uceta came down with a right shoulder impingement in February. He resumed mound work in mid-March but still has some building up to do. Uceta has not pitched in a game since last season, so he will require a few rehab appearances once he's deemed game-ready.

Drew Thorpe P | CHW
White Sox's Drew Thorpe: Lands on 15-day injured list
The White Sox placed Thorpe (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Thorpe had Tommy John surgery last April and encountered a setback in February when he developed tendinitis in his elbow. He's been throwing off the mound for a few weeks, however, and should be ready for a rehab assignment soon. Still, given the long layoff, Thorpe is a candidate to be shifted to the 60-day IL eventually.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Guardians' Rhys Hoskins: Officially added to roster
The Guardians selected Hoskins' contract to the major-league roster Wednesday.
Hoskins joined Cleveland on a minor-league contract in February and earned a spot on the Opening Day roster with an .817 OPS and three homers during spring training. The 33-year-old is expected to split playing time between first base and designated hitter with Kyle Manzardo.

Curtis Mead 3B | WAS
White Sox's Curtis Mead: Exits 40-man roster
The White Sox designated Mead for assignment Wednesday.
Mead is a victim of the White Sox needing to clear space on their 40-man roster. The former top prospect has yet to establish himself at the big-league level, slashing .238/.300/.317 across parts of three seasons. Mead is still just 25, so there could be a club willing to take a shot at him via waivers.

Ryan Zeferjahn P | LAA
Angels' Ryan Zeferjahn: Worst outing of spring
Zeferjahn went two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs, courtesy of two long balls, on four hits while walking one batter in a 7-7 tie against the Dodgers on Monday.
Zeferjahn appeared in eight games this spring for the Angels, posting a 5.23 ERA in 10.1 innings. The right-hander, who made 12 appearances in 2024, completed his first full season with a 4.74 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 62 appearances for Los Angeles in 2025. The 28-year-old will likely be in the mix for high-leverage opportunities immediately given the bullpen depth has been gravely impacted by injuries to Kirby Yates (knee inflammation), Ben Joyce (shoulder surgery rehab), both of whom require stints on the 15-day injured list to begin the new campaign, and Robert Stephenson (elbow), who was placed on the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Clarke Schmidt SP | NYY
Yankees' Clarke Schmidt: Could face hitters in April
Schmidt (elbow) is tentatively slated to begin throwing bullpens before the end of March and could face hitters in April or May, per MLB.com.
Schmidt did some throwing during spring training but primarily threw off flat round. He seems to be doing fine in his recovery from the internal brace procedure he underwent last July, though the right-hander isn't expected to be ready to rejoin the Yankees until the second half of the season.

Cody Laweryson RP | MIN
Twins' Cody Laweryson: Added to roster
The Twins selected Laweryson's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday.
Laweryson won a spot in the Twins' bullpen after posting a 1.17 ERA and 7:1 K:BB in 7.2 innings this spring as a non-roster invitee. The 27-year-old will be part of an unsettled relief corps in Minnesota, giving him a chance to pitch his way into leveraged appearances.

Josh Hader RP | HOU
Astros' Josh Hader: Officially placed on injured list
The Astros placed Hader (biceps) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Hader resumed mound work in early March but has not made an appearance in a game since he was diagnosed with left biceps tendinitis in early February. The southpaw is sure to require a rehab assignment before rejoining Houston's active roster. Bryan Abreu will be the Astros' closer while Hader is sidelined.
