Garcia (hamstring) will be re-evaluated Monday, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

Garcia suffered a right hamstring strain in Saturday's loss to the Rangers, and he was unavailable for Sunday's contest as a result. Manager Matt Quatraro provided an update Sunday, outing that the 26-year-old is "feeling better" and that the team is "not going to IL him right now." Garcia is expected to do some testing of his hamstring Monday, and Kansas City will see what direction it wants to go from there.

McClanahan (6-2) earned the win against the Angels on Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and no walks with three strikeouts over five innings.

McClanahan mostly cruised through five frames, throwing 51 of 70 pitches for strikes and generating eight whiffs. While workload restrictions will continue to limit his ceiling, the southpaw has now yielded one earned run or fewer in six of 11 outings this season while holding opponents to a .184 batting average. He'll carry a 2.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 53:19 K:BB across 55 innings into a road matchup against the Marlins next weekend.

Imai (2-3) took the loss Sunday against the Brewers, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out five.

After slinging six no-hit innings his last time out, Imai logged his second consecutive quality start Sunday. The Astros gave him a long leash, as the 28-year-old right-hander tossed a season-high 110 pitches, and Imai gave up two runs or fewer for just the third time in seven starts this year. He'll look to further improve on a 5.52 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 28:20 K:BB over 29.1 innings in his next scheduled outing at home against the division-rival Athletics.

Madden (forearm) is expected be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Monday's game at Tampa Bay, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Madden will make his return to action with the Tigers after missing just over two weeks while recovering from a right forearm contusion. The 26-year-old tossed 4.1 innings of one-run ball in a rehab start with Triple-A Toledo on Monday, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out three. Madden has posted a 2.38 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with 12 punchouts over 11.1 innings in three appearances with Detroit this season. Monday's start will be his first of the 2026 campaign after Madden had been previously been deployed as a bulk reliever behind an opener.

Baker earned the save in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Angels, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Baker was summoned to protect a three-run lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 11 pitches. The 31-year-old will finish May with nine saves in 10 opportunities while keeping opponents off the board in 12 of 14 appearances. He ranks third in the majors with 16 saves to go along with a 2.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB across 24.1 innings.

Anderson (2-3) allowed two runs on four hits while retiring only two batters in relief to take the loss Sunday against the White Sox.

After Detroit starter Keider Montero tossed six scoreless innings, Anderson came on in the seventh and got into some trouble. He retired the first batter he faced but then served up a solo home run to Colson Montgomery. Chicago proceeded to rattle off three more hits in a row to plate another run before Anderson got the hook with the Tigers trailing 2-1. The righty has allowed four runs (three earned) over his last two appearances, which has pushed his ERA from 3.44 up to 4.03, and he was charged with the loss in both outings as well.

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the White Sox.

While Detroit is struggling with a 2-8 record in its last 10 games, Torkelson has been heating up. During that same stretch, he's batting .314 with five extra-base hits. Overall, Torkelson is now batting .214 with a .720 OPS, and he seems to be trending upward toward the career-best .240 batting average and .789 OPS he posted during the 2025 regular season. His power is down, however, with only eight home runs in 59 games this year after going deep 31 times in 155 games last regular season, which tied his career high.

Matthews (1-3) took the loss Sunday against the Pirates, allowing seven runs on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out seven.

It was a rough day for Matthews, who gave up seven runs in his third straight loss. The 26-year-old right-hander had been pitching well coming into the day, posting quality starts in his first three major-league outings this year while posting a 2.37 ERA across 19 innings. Matthews' ERA shot up to 4.63 following Sunday's outing, though he still sports a solid 1.03 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB across 23.1 innings. Matthews will look to rebound in his next start, currently scheduled to come next week at home against the Royals.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said Sunday that Seager (back) is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment during the upcoming week, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Seager had been scheduled to take part in an on-field work prior to Sunday's game against the Royals, and assuming he emerges from it no worse for wear, he'll report to an affiliate within the next few days. Though Seager hasn't required a rehab assignment at any point over the past three seasons during his previous five stints on the injured list, the Rangers are requiring him to play in the minors for the first time since 2023 due to the nature of the injury and what physical tests he still needs to pass, per McFarland. Seager, who has been on the shelf since May 18, will likely play in two or three games with Double-A Frisco beginning Tuesday before the Rangers decide whether to continue his assignment through the weekend or activate him from the 10-day IL.

Helsley (elbow) said Sunday that he's scheduled to complete a few more bullpen sessions and will gradually ramp up the intensity of his throwing before he resumes facing hitters, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles plan to re-evaluate Helsley following their upcoming six-game road trip, after which the right-hander could be cleared to head out on a rehab assignment. Helsley appears to be trending toward a return from the injured list sometime in June, though a specific target date likely won't be established until he's pitching in simulated games or minor-league games. Once he eventually makes his way back from the IL, Helsley should step back in as the Orioles' preferred option to close games.
