Fried failed to last five innings in either of his first two outings of 2024, so slow starts to a season are nothing new for the 31-year-old. He'll try to provide a little more length in his next start, which is scheduled to come next weekend in Pittsburgh.

Campbell started in left field went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.

Campbell tied things up for the Red Sox in the fourth inning when he took Jacob Webb deep for a 431-foot solo homer to center. Devers went 0-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and three strikeouts during Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.

Devers managed to finally log his first RBI of the 2025 campaign when he drew a walk with the bases loaded in the second inning, but that the only highlight of the day for the 28-year-old. He punched out three more times Saturday (twice swinging) and has set a major-league record by striking out 10 times in the first three games of the regular season, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Devers will look to get back on track in Sunday's regular season finale against Jacob deGrom.

Smith left Saturday's game against Boston in the first inning due to a left quadriceps contusion, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Smith suffered the injury when he collided into the fence in foul territory while attempting to field a flyball. He managed to initially stay in but was replaced by Ezequiel Duran in the bottom of the first inning. Smith will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury, but he'll likely be held out of Sunday's series finale. With Josh Jung working through neck spasms, Duran could be in line for starts at third base.

Littell (0-1) took the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and no walks with seven strikeouts across six innings.

Littell recorded 14 whiffs on 87 pitches but exited with a 1-0 deficit despite delivering a quality start. It was a strong showing for the 29-year-old after surrendering 12 runs over 13.1 spring innings, and he lines up for a road matchup with the Rangers next weekend.

O'Hearn went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over Toronto.

After hitting a leadoff double in the fourth inning, O'Hearn eventually crossed the plate to score on a Gary Sanchez sacrifice fly. The veteran slugger has gone 4-for-13 through three games thus far this season, and O'Hearn will need to continue to produce offensively in order to prevent Heston Kjerstad from eating into his playing time at designated hitter.

Smith was removed from Saturday's game against the Red Sox due to a left leg injury, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

He was evaluated by a trainer and initially stayed in, but Ezequiel Duran pinch hit for Smith in the bottom of the inning. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters after Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Royals that Ramirez is currently considered day-to-day due to a wrist sprain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez rolled his right wrist on a slide during a stolen base attempt in the third inning Saturday, but he managed to stay in the game until the sixth. The third baseman will undergo further testing Sunday morning to determine the severity of the injury and could be held out of the series finale, though it sounds like he will push to play. Daniel Schneemann figures to step in at the hot corner if Ramirez misses time.

Ramirez was removed from Saturday's game against the Royals due to a sprained right wrist, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez looked to be bothered by his hand/wrist after jamming it into the ground during a stolen base attempt in the third inning, but he managed to stay in the game for a bit longer until his removal in the sixth. The Guardians haven't provided any details regarding the severity of the six-time All-Star's injury, but a sprained wrist typically leads to a stint on the injured list more often than not. Daniel Schneemann is most likely to benefit from extra playing time if Ramirez lands on the IL.

Torres (ribs) is not in the Tigers' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Torres was removed in the sixth inning of Friday's extra-inning loss when he aggravated a rib injury after hitting a home run in the third frame. The injury doesn't appear to be severe enough for him to warrant a stint on the IL, but he'll sit out of Saturday's contest ahead of Monday's series opener against the Mariners. Colt Keith will start at the keystone and bat fifth against Dodgers right-hander Roki Sasaki.
