Bleis is sidelined to start the season at High-A Greenville with a minor quadriceps injury, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

Bleis will open the year on the 7-day injured list, but it sounds like he'll be active in weeks, not months. Injuries have impacted Bleis' development thus far, as 2024 was his first year playing over 50 games in a season, and he has yet to play 100 games in a season. The toolsy outfielder hit .190 (.219 BABIP) with seven home runs and 22 steals in 52 games at High-A last year.

Miranda is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.

Miranda will take a seat for the second day in a row after getting on base at a .167 clip over 18 plate appearances through his first five starts of the season. The Twins haven't indicated that Miranda is dealing with an injury, so his consecutive benchings seem to be performance-related. The 26-year-old doesn't bring much value defensively at third base, so if he's unable to pick up the pace at the plate anytime soon, Miranda could lose hold of a regular spot in the lineup. Edouard Julien will pick up another start at the keystone Thursday while super-utility man Willi Castro shifts over to third base.

Vazquez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.

In what was a familiar trend last season, Vazquez and Ryan Jeffers have alternated turns behind the plate through Minnesota's first seven games of 2025. While Vazquez should be in line for more work than most No. 2 backstops around the league, he's still unlikely to see a high enough volume of plate appearances to warrant intrigue in fantasy outside of AL-only leagues or deeper mixed leagues that start two catchers.

Wong is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Baltimore.

Wong will be given some rest in Thursday's matinee after he did the catching in Wednesday's night game. Carlos Narvaez will be behind the plate and bat eighth for Boston.

Hendriks (elbow) threw out to 120 feet Tuesday in Baltimore during Boston's day off, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Boston manager Alex Cora indicated Hendriks is feeling better but is not yet ready for mound work. That could happen at some point this weekend.

Giolito (hamstring) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two over 2.1 scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday.

Giolito threw mostly fastballs while adding a healthy dose of changeups and sliders during the start. The right-hander is expected to make at least two more rehab starts before being activated off the 15-day injured list.

Rodriguez (elbow) threw a bullpen session ahead of Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Wednesday marked the second time Rodriguez has tossed a bullpen session since getting shut down with right elbow inflammation during spring training, and the right-hander remains in a throwing buildup. It's unclear how far out he is from going on a potential minor-league rehab assignment, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect Rodriguez to rejoin Baltimore's roster until late April at the earliest. In the meantime, Cade Povich is filling in for Rodriguez in the rotation.

Volpe went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Wednesday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

The Yankees trailed 4-0 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, but Volpe gave the team life with his one-out, three-run blast to right field off A.J. Puk. New York wasn't able to complete the comeback, but it was yet another big early-season moment for the young shortstop. Volpe has gone deep four times in his first five games of the campaign -- only one major-leaguer (Eugenio Suarez) has more home runs so far in 2025.

McCormick went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored Wednesday against the Giants.

McCormick was reportedly on the roster bubble to close spring training, and he started only one of Houston's first four games. However, he's now manned center field in three of the team's last four matchups, costing Jake Meyers playing time. The duo seems likely to continue to split playing time for the foreseeable future, limiting the potential fantasy value of both players.

Dubon has started only two of six games to begin the season.

Dubon was in contention to be Houston's primary second baseman with Jose Altuve shifting to left field. However, Brendan Rodgers has instead served in that role, while Dubon has started only once at the keystone and once in left field. His role could change as the season progresses, but Dubon looks to be stuck in his typical utility role for the time being.
