Rodgers went 1-for-3 with a walk Wednesday against the Giants.

It wasn't a standout performance for Rodgers, but he started for the second straight game at second base and has now been in the lineup for four of Houston's six games. His start to the season hasn't been particularly strong, though Rodgers does have a hit in consecutive contests. He'll likely need to pick up his performance to hold off Mauricio Dubon, who has started only twice.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a walk and two RBI on Wednesday against the Giants.

Alvarez had only one hit across his first 16 at-bats of the season, but he broke through with a two-RBI single in the fifth inning. While not an ideal start the season, Alvarez has posted an OPS over .950 in three consecutive campaigns, so there is little reason for concern.

Rodon took a line drive off the bat of Ketel Marte in the fifth inning of Wednesday night's loss to the Diamondbacks, and while he had a bruise and wrap on his arm, an X-ray on the arm came back clean, Gary Phillips of The New York Daily News reports. Rodon allowed four early runs, but he ultimately retired the last 10 batters he faced to complete six innings, giving up three hits and four walks while striking out five.

Rodon also struggled with his velocity early on, averaging 93 mph for the start after averaging 94.5 mph Opening Day. He was also seen looking at his pitching hand throughout the start. "I tend to look pretty often," Rodon said of his frequent glances toward Yankee Stadium's radar gun, "but definitely down velo today. A little cold, just slow to get moving, but I'm not super worried about it."

Lively (0-1) took the loss against the Padres on Wednesday, allowing four earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four batters in 4.1 frames.

Lively got off to a decent start Wednesday, striking out four of the first nine batters he faced. However, things took a turn for the worse in the third inning after four consecutive hits -- capped off by a Jackson Merrill homer -- gave San Diego a 4-0 lead that it would never relinquish. Lively is now up to a 6.75 ERA through his first two starts of the year but should have a decent chance to bounce back in his next outing, which is tentatively scheduled to come next week against the White Sox.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's victory over the White Sox. He ended an 0-for-18 streak to begin the season.

Correa had been hitting the ball hard his first four games but came up empty before Wednesday. He looks back on track but more importantly is healthy after playing just 86 games last season due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

Story went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Baltimore.

Story went deep for the first time in 2025, taking the first pitch he saw in the second inning over the fence in center field. While all eyes were focused on the historically slow start of teammate Rafael Devers, Story's 2-for-15 start (.133) flew under the radar.

Devers went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Orioles.

Devers finally got a break from the frustration, logging his first two hits of the season Wednesday. His fifth-inning double snapped an 0-for-21 stretch (15 strikeouts), and it was the first game of 2025 that Devers did not strike out.

Manzardo started at first base and went 0-for-3 with an RBI in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Padres.

Like most Cleveland hitters, Manzardo had a quiet series (0-for-9) against the Padres, who swept the Guardians. Manzardo, who was the DH in his first five starts, made his debut in the field Wednesday, with the 38-year-old Carlos Santana moving from first base to DH. Manzardo, whose primary position in the minors was first base, has served mostly in the DH role since coming up to the majors in 2024.

Jones started in right field and went 2-for-4 with a double in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to San Diego.

Jones is settling in after being acquired by the Guardians late in spring training. He had his best offensive game of the young season Wednesday after a 1-for-11 stretch with seven strikeouts over his first three outings. Jones is holding down the strong side of a platoon in right field.

Paredes went 0-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Giants.

Paredes is off to a frosty start at the dish for his new team, batting .150 (3-for-20) with two RBI in six outings after going 6-for-32 (.188) with one home run during spring training. The righty-hitting infielder's reputation as a pull hitter should eventually translate to more power, with the short porch in left field at Minute Maid Park playing to his strengths.
