Lowe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With lefty Yusei Kikuchi on the hill for the Angels, the Rays will counter with a lineup made up entirely of right-handed and switch hitters. Curtis Mead will spell Lowe at second base and will bat third.

Springer is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Boston.

Springer reached base seven times in the first two games of the series, but he will begin Wednesday's contest on the bench. Alan Roden is in right field and Nathan Lukes is in center field for the Blue Jays.

Kirk (leg) will start at catcher and bat sixth in Wednesday's game versus the Red Sox.

Kirk didn't play Tuesday after fouling a pitch off his lower leg in Monday's game, although Blue Jays manager John Schneider indicated it was more of a scheduled day off. The 26-year-old Kirk will bring two straight multi-hit games into Wednesday's festivities.

The Royals recalled Waters from Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.

Waters has slashed .229/.306/.396 across 137 games during his time with the Royals over the past three seasons. He will serve as a backup at all three outfield spots while he's in the big leagues.

The Royals placed Canha on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left abductor strain.

Canha suffered the injury during Tuesday's contest against the Twins, when he collided with the outfield wall while attempting a catch. He'll be eligible to return from the IL on April 19, but it's not clear whether he'll have a chance to be ready by that date. Drew Waters was called up from Triple-A Omaha to take Canha's spot on the 26-man active roster.

Hendriks (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

After checking out fine upon completing a bullpen session over the weekend, Hendriks has received the green light to head to the minors, where he'll likely make a handful of appearances before coming off the 15-day injured list. Heading into spring training, Hendriks appeared to be a leading candidate to take over as Boston's closer in 2025, but he'll likely have to settle for a setup role in front of Aroldis Chapman once he's activated.

Baldwin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Baldwin will begin Wednesday's game on the bench after he started in each of the last six games while playing four different positions (second base, shortstop, left field and right field). The White Sox haven't settled on a permanent spot for Baldwin, but the switch-hitting utility player should continue to hold down a near-everyday role.

Maton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

With southpaw Logan Allen toeing the rubber for Cleveland, the left-handed-hitting Maton will retreat to the bench. Austin Slater will fill the designated-hitter spot in Maton's stead.

Thaiss is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

The left-handed-hitting Thaiss will check out of the lineup while the Guardians send southpaw Logan Allen to the mound Wednesday. Korey Lee will handle the catching duties for the White Sox.

The White Sox recalled Jones from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.

Jones was claimed off waivers just before Opening Day and is now up in the majors despite hitting just .138/.286/.276 with a 40 percent strikeout rate at Charlotte. He could see some action in left field while Andrew Benintendi (adductor) is on the injured list.
