Thaiss isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Boston.

Thaiss will step aside Saturday to allow Omar Narvaez to get a second consecutive start behind the dish following Narvaez's three-RBI performance Friday. Thaiss owns a .737 OPS through 10 games this season and still figures to be Chicago's primary backstop.

Duran is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Duran will sit on the bench for the first time this season after starting the season with a .600 OPS through 72 plate appearances. While he regroups, Rob Refsnyder will pick up a start in left field and bat fourth.

Casas isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

The lefty-hitting Casas will retreat to the bench Saturday with left-hander Martin Perez set to take the mound for Chicago. Romy Gonzalez will pick up a start at first base and bat leadoff.

Butler isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Butler will get his first day off of the season after starting the year with a .245/.365/.358 slash line through 63 plate appearances. Brent Rooker will fill in as the Athletics' right fielder while Butler sits, moving Shea Langeliers into the DH spot with Jhonny Pereda starting behind the plate.

Urshela isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Urshela will take a seat Saturday after going 1-for-3 with a walk in Friday's series opener. Luis Urias will fill the opening at third base and bat seventh while Urshela rests.

The White Sox recalled Jones from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.

Jones was sent down to the minors Friday in order to make room for Chase Meidroth, but he'll now return to the White Sox to make up for the loss of Austin Slater (knee). Jones has slashed .129/.270/.258 with five RBI and four stolen bases across nine Triple-A games this season.

The White Sox placed Slater on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a torn meniscus in his right knee.

It was unclear why Slater was scratched from the lineup ahead of Friday's game, but those questions have now been answered. The White Sox haven't established a return timeline for the 32-year-old just yet, but he'll likely be sidelined for a few months. Greg Jones was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move.

Westburg (upper body) will start at third base and bat fourth Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Westburg was held out of Wednesday's contest due to a nagging upper-body injury. Thanks to a scheduled day off Thursday and a bit of rain Friday, the 26-year-old was able to receive plenty of rest and is now ready to take the field again.

The Athletics designated Perdomo for assignment Saturday.

Across four appearances this season, Perdomo allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two batters over 3.1 innings. He'll now give up his roster spot for J.T. Ginn, who was recalled from Triple-A to start Saturday against the Mets.

The Athletics recalled Ginn from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of his start Saturday against the Mets.

The 25-year-old righty will be replacing Joey Estes in the Athletics' rotation, as the latter was relegated to the minors following a poor performance Sunday. Ginn, meanwhile, has hit the ground running in the minors with a 1.64 ERA and 0.64 WHIP alongside a 19:2 K:BB through 11 innings. Angel Perdomo was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
