Ober (3-1) earned the win Monday at Cleveland, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk over 7.2 innings. He struck out two.

Despite generating a paltry six whiffs, Ober secured his third consecutive win in his longest outing of the season. The Minnesota right-hander scattered seven singles and a double, with the only blemish on his line coming via a Jhonkensy Noel RBI-single in the fifth. Through 32.2 innings, Ober sports a 4.13 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 25:7 K:BB. He is currently slated to make his next start at Boston.

Williams (2-1) took the loss Monday against the Twins, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks over two innings. He struck out two.

The 25-year-old righty fired just 68 pitches in this abbreviated outing. The Minnesota lineup jumped on Williams out the gate as Edouard Julien opened the game's scoring by cracking a leadoff homer. This poor effort piles on to a mixed season for Williams, who has pitched to a 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 28:14 K:BB across 28 innings. He is currently in line to make his next start at Toronto this weekend.

Sewald left Monday's game against the Twins due to right shoulder inflammation, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Sewald was lifted from Monday's appearance after retiring a pair of Minnesota batters, and further evaluation revealed inflammation in his throwing shoulder. The team will presumably wait to see how he feels Tuesday and could send him for additional scans before making a decision on whether a trip to the injured list is necessary.

Sewald (undisclosed) was forced to exit Monday's contest against the Twins in the top of the fifth inning, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Sewald entered the game in the top of the fifth with the Guardians trailing 4-0, subsequently retiring the first two batters he faced, one of which he struck out. The right hander then delivered a first-pitch 90.7 mph fastball to Ryan Jeffers, which missed the zone. Sewald then appeared to be in some discomfort, exiting the game with one of Cleveland's trainers. Tim Herrin replaced him on the mound and more information on Sewald's status will likely come following Monday's contest.

The Orioles transferred Rodriguez to the 60-day injured list Monday.

Rodriguez began the season on the 15-day IL due to right elbow inflammation, but he was recently diagnosed with a mild right lat strain after being scratched from a scheduled bullpen session in mid-April. The plan is for Rodriguez to resume his throwing program in a couple of weeks, but his move to the 60-day IL means he's still far off on embarking on a rehab assignment.

The Orioles transferred Cowser (thumb) to the 60-day injured list Monday.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster. It doesn't change the timetable for Cowser, as he has yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities and isn't expected back until late May or early June.

The Orioles placed Sanchez on the 10-day injured list Monday due to right wrist inflammation.

Sanchez may have picked up the injury during the weekend series against the Tigers, during which he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in two games. To add backstop depth behind Adley Rutschman, the Orioles selected Maverick Handley's contract from Triple-A Norfolk. Sanchez will undergo further tests to determine a timeline for his return.

The Orioles placed Westburg on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left hamstring strain.

The team had initially pegged the infielder as day-to-day after he suffered the injury Saturday against the Tigers, but subsequent testing revealed a strain. Westburg will be eligible for activation May 7, but it's unclear whether he will be ready to go on that date. Ramon Urias will handle the bulk of the playing time at third base while Westburg is sidelined.

Baltimore selected Rivera's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

The move comes after the Orioles placed Jordan Westburg (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list and transferred Colton Cowser (thumb) to the 60-day IL. Rivera accepted an assignment to Triple-A after being designated for assignment by the Orioles in late January. He's started his season in Norfolk slashing .308/.370/.338 with one stolen base and 13 RBI in 73 plate appearances.

The Orioles selected Handley's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

The Orioles were in need of a catcher after placing Gary Sanchez (wrist) on the 10-day injured list, prompting Handley's promotion to the majors to serve as the backup catcher to Adley Rutschman. Handley has started the Triple-A season strongly, slashing .346/.433/.558 with two stolen bases, 11 runs scored, one home run and five RBI in 60 plate appearances. He'll have an opportunity to make his major-league debut when Rutschman takes a planned rest day.
