Robert went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a steal in Thursday's 8-0 win over Milwaukee.

Robert got the White Sox on the board in the first inning with an RBI single to left field and stole second base on the next at-bat. He tacked on three more runs in the seventh frame on a bases-clearing double to center field, marking the seventh time in his career that he has logged four RBI in a single game. Robert is up to 13 stolen bases on the season (seven coming in his last five games), which is most in the American League and tied with Elly De La Cruz for most in the majors. Robert is in the midst of a six-game hitting streak, going 8-for-24 (.333) with four walks, six runs scored, two home runs and seven RBI over that span.

Burke (2-4) earned the win against the Brewers on Thursday, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out five over six scoreless innings.

Three of the six baserunners Burke allowed came in the first inning, but he was able to escape a bases-loaded situation after getting Rhys Hoskins to fly out. Burke proceeded to retire the minimum number of batters in four of the next five frames and came away with his second quality start of the season on 94 pitches (58 strikes) while generating 10 whiffs. His efforts Thursday dropped his ERA and WHIP to 4.91 and 1.36, respectively, over 33 innings. Burke will look to make it two wins in a row in his next start, tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Royals.

Crim will have his contract selected by the Rangers on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Crim spent all of the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Triple-A Round Rock and posted .391 and .382 wOBAs, respectively. He doesn't have much prospect pedigree and isn't likely to be long for the majors as a replacement for Jake Burger, though Crim should see occasional playing time in the short term.

Burger will be optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Burger has gotten off to a dreadful start in his first season with the Rangers, hitting just .190 with a 29.6 percent strikeout rate across 108 plate appearances. Nevertheless, his demotion comes as a significant surprise. Rosenthal reports that Burger's time in the minors should be short and is viewed as a way for him to reset.

Jung is not in the Tigers' lineup Thursday against the Angels.

The Angels are sending southpaw Yusei Kikuchi to the mound Thursday, so the left-handed bat of Jung will begin the game on the bench. In Jung's place, Andy Ibanez has the start at third base and is batting cleanup

Carpenter is not in the Tigers' starting lineup Thursday against the Angels.

With the Angels sending southpaw Yusei Kikuchi to the mound Thursday, the lefty bat of Carpenter will take a seat. Carpenter is coming off a three-game set in Houston in which he went 3-for-13 with two home runs. As the 27-year-old Carpenter takes a seat, Riley Greene will serve as the designated hitter with Justyn-Henry Malloy entering the outfield.

The Tigers recalled Owens from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

Owens received a promotion to Triple-A to start the season and has since turned in a 4.50 ERA and 1.79 WHIP alongside an 11:9 K:BB through 14 innings with the Mud Hens. Despite his subpar performance, he'll be recalled to the majors for the first time to replace Kenta Maeda, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Owens' stay in Detroit will likely be short, however, as Beau Brieske (ankle) is nearing activation from the injured list.

Campbell was scratched from the lineup ahead of Thursday's game against the Blue Jays due to right rib discomfort, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

The severity of Campbell's injury remains unknown, but it's apparently enough of a nuisance to warrant a day off Thursday. While we wait for more information, Jarren Duran will shift to center field to cover for the 22-year-old, opening up left field for Rob Refsnyder.

Rengifo isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Detroit, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rengifo will get a breather Thursday against Casey Mize and the Tigers after going 7-for-18 over the Angels' last five games. Kevin Newman will fill the resulting void at third base and bat ninth.

Buehler did not bounce back well from his start Saturday and is back in Boston for testing on his shoulder while the team is in Toronto, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Buehler is dealing with shoulder soreness and Boston is unsure if a trip to the injured list will be needed. The right-hander was expected to start Friday, but Brayan Bello is now set to take the mound instead, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports. Saturday will now be open for a pitcher to be named later with Garrett Crochet remaining set to pitch Sunday.
