    Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Resting Saturday

Arias isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Toronto.

Arias will get a day to collect himself Saturday after going 0-for-10 with two runs scored across his last three games. His absence will give Brayan Rocchio a chance to start at shortstop while batting eighth.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Not starting Saturday

Ramirez (ankle) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Ramirez suffered a sprained right ankle during Friday's contest and will be held out of Saturday's contest in order to recover. Will Wilson will pick up a start at the hot corner as a result and bat seventh.

  • Bo Naylor C | MIL

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Won't start Saturday

Naylor isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Naylor will get a chance to catch his breath Saturday after slugging three home runs over his last four games. Austin Hedges will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth.

  • Coby Mayo 3B | BAL

Orioles' Coby Mayo: Headed to big leagues

The Orioles plan to recall Mayo from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

One of the top prospects in the Orioles' farm system, Mayo is now due for his third career stint with the big-league club after slashing .252/.346/.523 across 127 plate appearances in Triple-A this season. He'll provide the O's with insurance at third base with Jordan Westburg (hamstring) and Ramon Urias (hamstring) both nursing injuries.

  • Edouard Julien 2B | COL

    Twins' Edouard Julien: Idle Saturday

Julien isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Boston.

Julien will get a chance to regroup Saturday after going 2-for-16 with a home run and five strikeouts over his last five games. His absence will put Kody Clemens at second base.

  • Red Sox's Kristian Campbell: Sitting third straight

Campbell (ribs) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Twins.

Saturday will mark Campbell's third consecutive absence due to rib discomfort. A trip to the injured list doesn't seem imminent, though the Red Sox may begin to consider it if the rookie's health doesn't improve soon. David Hamilton will continue to fill in at second base while Campbell is out.

  • Alan Roden RF | MIN

Blue Jays' Alan Roden: Not starting Saturday

Roden isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

In an effort to get more production out of their left fielder, the Blue Jays will start Nathan Lukes on Saturday over Roden, who has gone 0-for-25 with nine strikeouts across his last 10 games.

  • Ernie Clement 2B | TOR

Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Resting Saturday

Clement isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Clement will get a day off Saturday after making four consecutive starts, during which he went 3-for-14 with a run scored. Addison Barger will fill in at the hot corner and bat sixth.

  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Taking seat Saturday

Kirk isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Cleveland.

Kirk will get a day off Saturday after going 6-for-13 with a homer and four RBI across his last three games. Tyler Heineman will do the catching for Kevin Gausman instead while batting eighth.

  • Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU

    Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Scratched Saturday

Alvarez was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the White Sox due to inflammation in his right hand, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Alvarez said his hand didn't feel right after hitting in the cages before the game, so the Astros will hold him out of action Saturday. The team will presumably take him in for imaging to see if he's dealing with any structural damage, and an update on his status should come in the near future. In the meantime, Victor Caratini will fill in as Houston's designated hitter and bat sixth.
