Genao (shoulder) is scheduled to begin participating in simulated games at the Guardians' spring training facility as early as next week, SI.com reports.

The switch-hitting shortstop has been sidelined all season after spraining his right shoulder during spring training. He remains on Double-A Akron's 7-day injured list, but he should be ready to make his Eastern League debut in the coming weeks. If Genao's shoulder responds well to playing in simulated games, he's then expected to begin a rehab assignment with the Guardians' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate.

Hoglund did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

Hoglund was sharp early Wednesday, as he held Seattle scoreless through his first four innings. However, he'd allow a run in the fifth before walking two batters in the sixth, both of whom would come around to score against the A's bullpen. Despite the shaky finish, Hoglund's gotten off to a strong start in his big-league career, posting a 2.38 ERA with 10 strikeouts and just one walk through his first two starts (11.1 innings). The 25-year-old Hoglund certainly appears to have done enough to remain in the A's rotation -- he'd line up for a tough road matchup with the Dodgers in his next start.

Munoz earned the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's, allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

After taking his first blown save of the year in the 10th inning of his last appearance, Munoz responded with a strong effort Wednesday to close out a one-run victory, picking up his 13th save this season, good for second most in the majors. The 26-year-old Munoz has yet to allow an earned run through his first 18 innings, posting a pristine 0.83 WHIP with 25:8 K:BB.

Woo did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's. He allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings.

The A's got to Woo early Wednesday, scoring three runs on four hits in the first inning. However, the right-hander would settle in and allow just two runs over his final five frames. While the eight hits and five runs allowed are both season worsts, Woo has managed to deliver six or more innings in each of his first seven starts this year. His ERA now sits at 3.25 with a 0.92 WHIP and 44:8 K:BB across 44.1 innings. Woo is currently slated to face the Yankees at home in his next outing.

Gipson-Long (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Lakeland on Thursday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Gipson-Long has been facing live hitters since late April, and he's now been cleared to test his surgically repaired elbow and hip in a competitive setting. The 27-year-old will certainly require an extensive rehab assignment after being sidelined for more than a year, though he could be in a position to contribute for the Tigers closer to the All-Star break.

The Tigers reinstated Margot (knee) from the injured list Wednesday and outrighted him to Triple-A Toledo.

Margot has been out since mid-April due to a strained patellar tendon in his left knee. He began a rehab assignment in Triple-A on April 29 and went 4-for-16 with an RBI and a run scored in five games. Now fully healthy, he'll remain in the Tigers' farm system but lose his spot on the 40-man roster.

The Blue Jays designated Berroa for assignment Wednesday.

Berroa has spent the entire 2025 season at Triple-A Buffalo, slashing just .195/.267/.234 across 86 plate appearances. His poor performance in the minors has now cost him his spot on Toronto's 40-man roster, as the Jays needed to clear a spot for Braydon Fisher.

The Blue Jays optioned Tate to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.

Since being promoted from Triple-A on April 20, Tate has surrendered three runs while logging a 7:6 K:BB in 5.1 innings across five appearances. He'll now head back to Buffalo to make room for Braydon Fisher, who was selected to the active roster in a corresponding move.

The Blue Jays selected Fisher's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.

Fisher has posted a 2.38 ERA and 1.17 WHIP alongside a 14:4 K:BB across 11.1 innings in Triple-A, so the Jays will bring him up to replace Dillon Tate, who was optioned to Buffalo in a corresponding move. Fisher will be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.

The Blue Jays recalled Clase from Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.

Clase was called up April 27 to serve as the Blue Jays' 27th player for their doubleheader against the Yankees, when he went 0-for-4 with one strikeout. Clase has had a strong start to the Triple-A campaign, slashing .315/.419/.371 with 15 stolen bases, 10 runs scored and one RBI in 106 plate appearances. Clase will most likely be used as a defensive substitute and pinch runner for the Blue Jays, but he'll start in left field and bat ninth against the Angels on Wednesday. Toronto optioned Alan Roden to Triple-A to make room on the 26-man roster for Clase.
