Manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that Cousins (forearm) has been shut down for a few days due to a pectoral injury, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Boone added that Cousins' latest injury isn't anything too serious, so the team seems to just be sitting him down as a precaution. The 30-year-old reliever has been working his way back from a right forearm strain since the start of the season and should still be able to make it back to the Yankees' bullpen in June, assuming his pec injury doesn't evolve into anything severe.

The Royals recalled Cameron from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

This was an expected move with Seth Lugo (finger) set to miss his scheduled start. However, it now looks like Cameron may be making more than a spot start, as both Lugo and Cole Ragans (groin) were placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. If Cameron holds his own against the Cardinals on Saturday, he'd be the logical choice to continue filling one of the two rotation spots left vacant by Lugo and Ragans. As such, Cameron could be an intriguing fantasy pickup -- he pitched 6.1 scoreless, one-hit innings in his MLB debut against the Rays on April 30 and has impressed in Triple-A this season, posting a 3.31 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 38:13 K:BB over 32.2 frames.

Kansas City placed Ragans (groin) on the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Ragans exited his start Friday versus St. Louis due to left groin tightness, and the issue has resulted in a trip to the IL. Seth Lugo (finger) also landed on the IL on Saturday, so the Royals' rotation is suddenly quite thin. Noah Cameron was called up from Triple-A to start Saturday and will likely get additional turns in the rotation, but it's unclear at this point how Kansas City will fill the other starting slot.

The Royals placed Lugo (finger) on the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Lugo was already set to miss his next turn in the rotation -- which was originally scheduled for Saturday -- due to right middle finger inflammation, and his move to the IL will sideline him for at least two additional starts. The transaction is retroactive to May 14th, so if Lugo has a minimum IL stay, he could be activated for the series against Detroit that begins May 30. Noah Cameron was recalled from Triple-A Omaha to start Saturday, and he'll likely get a few more turns with both Lugo and Cole Ragans (groin) placed on the IL.

Cowser (thumb) participated in batting practice Saturday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Cowser has been on the injured list since March 31 due to a fractured left thumb, but he's been making significant strides in his recovery. The 25-year-old was spotted playing catch May 9, and Saturday marked his first time taking batting practice. He remains on track for a late-May or early-June return.

Kirby (shoulder) allowed four earned runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out four over four innings in his rehab start for Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

Kirby made his third start for Tacoma while he continues to get stretched back out after having spent all season on the injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. Though he got knocked around a bit Friday, Kirby was able to push his pitch count up to 64 and reached 97.5 miles per hour with his fastball. The Mariners haven't officially commented on Kirby's next steps, but Adam Jude of The Seattle Times notes that the right-hander could return from the IL to make his season debut with Seattle in his next outing. The 27-year-old has been sticking to a five-day rest schedule during his rehab assignment, so if he's activated during the upcoming week, he would likely line up to take the hill Thursday in Houston.

Teodo (shoulder) came off the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Round Rock and threw a scoreless inning with one strikeout Thursday.

Teodo's fastball averaged 96.9 mph (touched 97.5 mph) in his first game back off the injured list, which is roughly in line with how hard he was throwing before going on the IL with shoulder fatigue. Teodo has transitioned to a relief role this year due to shaky command as a starter. He has the stuff to be an option in the late innings for Texas in the coming years.

Mountcastle isn't part of the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Mountcastle will get a much-deserved rest day Saturday, taking a seat for the first time in 18 games. Ryan O'Hearn will fill in at first base, while Adley Rutschman slides to DH and Maverick Handley slots in behind the plate. Mountcastle's 11-game hit streak will be preserved unless he enters off the bench.

O'Neill (shoulder) isn't part of Baltimore's lineup for Saturday's game against Washington, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

O'Neil was scratched from Friday's lineup with discomfort in his left shoulder that stemmed from a session in the batting cage earlier this week, and he'll be idle once again Saturday. Ramon Laureano, Cedric Mullins and Heston Kjerstad will fill the outfield from left to right.

Caminero isn't part of the Rays' starting nine for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Caminero will get the day off Saturday, yielding his spot at third base to Jose Caballero against Miami starter Sandy Alcantara. In his last 10 appearances, Caminero is 9-for-37 (.243) with a pair of home runs.
