McKinstry is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Cleveland.

McKinstry will give way to Andy Ibanez at third base Friday against Slade Cecconi and the Guardians. McKinstry is 14-for-66 (.212) with 12 runs scored in 19 games during May.

Greene is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Guardians.

Greene is out of the starting lineup for the first time since the first game of Detroit's doubleheader on May 8, snapping a streak of 14 consecutive starts. Akil Baddoo will fill left field Friday and bat eighth.

Torres (lower leg) will DH and bat second in Friday's game against the Guardians.

Torres left Thursday's game against Cleveland after the third inning due to discomfort in his lower right leg. However, the injury wasn't severe enough to keep him out of Friday's starting nine. Torres has one hit in his last 12 at-bats.

The White Sox activated Tauchman (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Tauchman dealt with a hamstring strain during spring training that cost him the start of the season. He then re-injured his hamstring in his third contest and hasn't played since April 9. In limited action earlier this season, Tauchman went 4-for-10 at the plate with one run scored and a 2:2 BB:K. He should see plenty of at-bats against right-handed pitching.

The White Sox activated Benintendi (calf) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Benintendi was placed on the IL on May 7 but is back after getting a couple rehab games under his belt. Prior to his injury, Benintendi was slashing .224/.298/.400 with five home runs, 12 RBI, 13 runs scored and an 8:17 BB:K across 95 plate appearances. The veteran outfielder should slide back to the top of the depth chart in left field.

Bregman exited the first game of Friday's doubleheader versus the Orioles in the fifth inning with an apparent leg injury, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Bregman appeared to tweak something in his lower half as he rounded first base on a single. He called for the trainer and immediately exited the field somewhat gingerly. The Red Sox should offer an update on his condition shortly.

The Mariners outrighted Lawrence to Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

Lawrence cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier in the week. The 37-year-old appeared in five games out of the bullpen for Seattle, logging a 3.00 ERA and 6:1 K:BB across 15.1 innings.

The Athletics are expected to promote Davidson from Triple-A Las Vegas, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Davidson will need to be added to the 40-man roster ahead of his MLB debut. The 27-year-old has played all four infield spots as well as left field over 40 games at Triple-A this season while slashing .310/.456/.437 with two home runs, 22 RBI, 30 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 182 plate appearances. He could be an option at second base or third base for the Athletics after Gio Urshela injured his hamstring Thursday.

Speier allowed one hit in a scoreless inning with no strikeouts during Thursday's 9-2 loss to the Astros.

Speier turned in his seventh scoreless outing out of nine appearances in May. On the season, the 30-year-old owns a 2.25 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 28:4 K:BB with seven holds over 20 innings. Speier has been one of Seattle's top high-leverage options as the team's lone left-hander, locking into a setup role ahead of closer Andres Munoz.

Zeferjahn recorded a hold against the Athletics on Thursday, allowing one hit and issuing one walk while striking out one batter in one scoreless inning.

Zeferjahn entered in the eighth inning with the Angels up two runs and quickly got into trouble, allowing a walk and a single to the first two batters he faced. However, the righty reliever then induced a double-play groundout before striking out Brent Rooker to escape the jam. Zeferjahn has claimed a high-leverage role in a beleaguered Angels bullpen -- he's registered a hold in five straight outings to move into the team lead with eight this season. His 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP on the campaign aren't great, but he has 26 punchouts (along with 10 walks) in 18 frames while adding two wins and a save.
