Blanco (elbow) will undergo surgery next week and will be sidelined for the rest of the 2025 season, the Astros announced Wednesday.

Blanco reported soreness in his throwing elbow on May 19 and hit the injured list May 22 with elbow inflammation. Houston sought out a second opinion on the 31-year-old's injury, which yielded severe enough results to require season-ending surgery. It's unclear if he will have traditional Tommy John surgery or a hybrid internal brace procedure. Colton Gordon should fill Blanco's spot in the rotation until Luis Garcia (elbow) or Spencer Arrighetti (thumb) are reinstated from the IL, which isn't expected to happen until late June or July. Blanco finishes 2025 with a 3-4 record, a 4.10 ERA and 48:20 K:BB in 48.1 innings spanning nine starts.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

After making three straight starts behind the dish, Narvaez will get a rest day Wednesday. Connor Wong will catch and bat eighth for the series finale against Milwaukee.

Campbell is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Campbell will get the day off Wednesday after making four consecutive starts. In his place, David Hamilton will bat seventh and play second base.

Baez is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

After posting a 1.128 OPS over a 16-game stretch from April 26 to May 16, Baez is batting .167 (5-for-30) over his past 10 contests. The veteran infielder has been operating as Detroit's primary center fielder, but he has more competition at the position after the activation of Wenceel Perez (back), who is making his second straight start in center Wednesday.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Dingler caught the Tigers' last three games and will get a breather for Wednesday's series finale. Jake Rogers will fill in behind the dish and bat ninth.

Keegan (elbow) was reinstated from Triple-A Durham's 7-day injured list Monday and started at catcher and went 0-for-3 with a walk in his 2025 debut with the affiliate.

Keegan was cleared to rejoin Durham this week after he completed an eight-game rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League. The 24-year-old backstop spent the entire 2024 season at Double-A Montgomery and produced a .283/.369/.432 slash line with nine home runs across 442 plate appearances.

Torkelson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Torkelson will get a rest day for the series finale against San Francisco, taking a seat for the first time in 12 games. In his place, Colt Keith will play first base while Gleyber Torres slides to second base and Riley Greene serves as the DH.

Hicklen (hamstring) was assigned to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday and started in right field in the club's 10-5 win over Louisville, going 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs.

Hicklen returned to action for Toledo for the first time since May 11, after a tight hamstring kept him out of commission for a couple of weeks. Though he was never placed on the 7-day injured list, Hicklen was assigned to High-A West Michigan over the weekend for what essentially amounted to a rehab assignment. Hicklen received the green light to rejoin Toledo after playing in two games for West Michigan.

Robert is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Robert will yield to Michael Taylor for a second consecutive game. The only other time Robert has been idle in back-to-back games came in early May when the 27-year-old was dealing with knee soreness. Considering there hasn't been any injury news, Robert may simply be losing playing time. He leads the league in stolen bases with 21, but he has a subpar .583 OPS and a 29.6 percent strikeout rate.

Manzardo isn't part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Manzardo's streak of eight consecutive starts comes to an end Wednesday as the Guardians face off against southpaw Clayton Kershaw. Jose Ramirez will DH while Carlos Santana plays first base.
