LeMahieu is not in the Yankees' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Friday.

LeMahieu will be on the bench for the start of Friday's series opener while Jorbit Vivas and Oswald Peraza start at second and third base, respectively. LeMahieu has gone 3-for-26 with two RBI and a 25.0 percent strikeout rate over his last eight games.

Bader (finger) isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Seattle.

Bader has now missed four consecutive starts due to a finger issue that first popped up Monday. It's unclear how close he is to rejoining the starting nine, but the Twins may begin thinking about placing him on the injured list if he can't return soon. Meanwhile, Willi Castro, Byron Buxton and Kody Clemens will start across the outfield Friday.

Mountcastle was removed from Friday's game against the White Sox due to right hamstring discomfort, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Mountcastle went 2-for-3 with a steal and a run scored prior to being replaced in the eighth inning, with Cooper Hummel entering in right field while Ryan O'Hearn shifted over to first base. Mountcastle will undergo further tests and the Orioles should provide an update on his injury during or shortly after Friday's contest.

Moore is not in the Mariners' starting lineup against the Twins on Friday.

Moore will begin the Mariners' weekend series on the bench while Miles Mastrobuoni starts at second base and bats eighth. Moore has slashed .241/.297/.397 with three steals, two home runs and seven RBI over 64 plate appearances since returning from the 10-day injured list in early May.

The Guardians placed Thomas on the 10-day injured list Friday, retroactive to May 27, due to right foot plantar fasciitis, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Thomas was set to be out of the lineup for a third straight game, and his foot injury is severe enough for him to require a stint on the injured list for the second time this season. A corresponding move has yet to be announced, but Angel Martinez should see the bulk of the starts in center field for as long as Thomas is on the shelf. Thomas is slashing .119/.169/.136 with one steal and three RBI over 65 plate appearances this season.

Lowe is not in the Rays' starting lineup against the Astros on Friday.

Lowe will begin Friday's contest on the bench while Curtis Mead starts at second base and bats seventh. Lowe is in the midst of a 12-game hitting streak and has gone 16-for-43 (.372) with one steal, 12 runs scored, four home runs and six RBI in that span.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that Eovaldi (triceps) will have his next turn through the rotation pushed back a few days, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander was originally expected to make his next turn through the rotation as scheduled Tuesday after departing his previous start due to triceps soreness, but the Rangers will instead take advantage of Monday's team off day to get him some extra rest. That lines up Eovaldi to pitch during next weekend's three-game set in Washington, giving him at least nine days to recover between outings.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Garcia's absence from the lineup for Friday's game versus St. Louis is an attempt to provide the outfielder with a "mental break," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The 32-year-old would ordinarily occupy a marquee lineup spot against a left-handed starter (Matthew Liberatore), but Bochy is instead opting to give the Garcia some time to reset. The outfielder is batting .122 (5-for-41) with 18 strikeouts in his past 12 contests and has a .627 OPS for the season. Ezequiel Duran, Wyatt Langford and Sam Haggerty will man the outfield from left to right in Friday's series opener.

Smith's contract was selected from Triple-A Toledo on Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Smith recently moved to the bullpen and it has been a successful transition. He has a 15:1 K:BB over 8.1 scoreless innings in his last six minor-league appearances and can pitch multiple innings at a time.

Baez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.

It's Baez's second straight game on the bench as Wenceel Perez receives a third consecutive start in center field for Detroit. Baez appears to be falling back into more of a part-time role after serving as the Tigers' primary center fielder for most of May. The 32-year-old started the month with a 1.050 OPS in his first 11 games of May, but he's fallen into a 5-for-31 slump over the past couple weeks.
