The Orioles claimed Tyler off waivers from the Phillies on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Baltimore had an opening on its 40-man roster, so no corresponding move was needed to make room for Tyler. The 28-year-old right-hander will join his eighth different organization since entering the professional ranks in 2018. Tyler had pitched exclusively at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season, accruing a 4.31 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 43:21 K:BB in 62.2 innings. He'll presumably slot into the rotation for Norfolk and could be an option to make starts for Baltimore later in 2025.

Heim is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Heim will take a seat after starting the first two games of the series. Kyle Higashioka will step in to catch for Kumar Rocker.

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Rodgers will return to the bench after he went 2-for-9 with a run scored over the past three games. With Jacob Melton (ankle) going on the injured list Saturday, Jose Altuve will be needed in left field, but Rodgers may not necessarily be in store for a regular role at the keystone. Mauricio Dubon has been covering third base of late, but he could be prioritized at second base ahead of Rodgers if Isaac Paredes (hamstring) returns next week as anticipated.

Jung is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Jung is batting .143 (7-for-49) with 16 strikeouts since the start of June, so manager Bruce Bochy decided to give the third baseman a "mental day" to reset, per Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News. Ezequiel Duran will fill in at third base.

Walker is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Walker's troubles at the plate have continued in June with a .678 OPS through 12 games, and he'll sit Sunday after starting the previous 14 contests. Victor Caratini will take over at first base for the series finale versus Minnesota.

Paredes (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Manager Joe Espada said after Paredes suffered a hamstring injury Thursday that the third baseman could miss a few additional games, so it's not a significant surprise he's on the bench Sunday. Luis Guillorme is starting at the hot corner.

Waters is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Waters is on the bench for the third time in four games and could be slipping out of a starting job after slashing .167/.219/.167 in 11 contests this month. Mark Canha will spell Waters in left field Sunday, but Nick Loftin -- who is filling in at second base for Jonathan India (shoulder) on Sunday -- could end up being the primary replacement for Waters.

Loftin will start at second base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Loftin will get his fourth start in a row and his second straight at the keystone, filling in for Jonathan India (shoulder). India is expected to be available off the bench Sunday and appears likely to avoid a stint on the injured list, but Loftin could instead get playing time in the outfield at the expense of Drew Waters, who has gone 3-for-23 over his last nine games.

India (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

India will be relegated to the bench for the second game in a row while he manages a left shoulder subluxation. According to MLB.com, manager Matt Quatraro said that India will be available off the bench Sunday, so the Royals don't appear to be viewing the shoulder issue as something that will send the 28-year-old to the injured list.

MacIver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

The rookie got three straight starts after Shea Langeliers suffered an oblique strain earlier this month, but MacIver has since moved into a timeshare with Austin Wynns following the veteran's acquisition from the Reds. The two backstops have alternated starts over the Athletics' last six games.
