Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run Friday to break out of an 0-for-15 slump, and he's on the bench Sunday for the second straight game. Tyler Wade is starting at shortstop and batting eighth in the series finale versus Chicago.

Perdomo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

The switch-hitting Perdomo is on the bench for the second game in a row, giving way to Nick Ahmed at shortstop on both occasions. With Perdomo having sat out against Angels southpaws Tyler Anderson and Reid Detmers, the 23-year-old appears as though he hasn't yet escaped a strong-side platoon role.

Volpe went 4-for-8 with a triple, three runs and an RBI across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against St. Louis.

Volpe collected a pair of hits in each contest, and he's now logged five straight multi-hit performances. The rookie shortstop has increased his season batting average from .195 to .220 over that span while striking out just twice over 21 plate appearances. The Yankees have remained committed to giving Volpe near-everyday playing time even during his periods of struggle, and that commitment appears to be paying off given his recent surge.

DeJong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

DeJong started the past three games and will hit the bench after going 1-for-9 with three walks, an RBI and a run during that stretch. Tommy Edman will shift to shortstop while Alec Burleson starts in the outfield.

Marcano will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Marcano will get his third straight start at shortstop after going 2-for-8 with a triple, two runs and two RBI in the first two games of the series with Milwaukee. With the Pirates moving Ji Hwan Bae (ankle) to the 10-day injured list Sunday, Marcano looks as though he could have a fairly clear path to playing time in the middle infield, at least versus right-handed pitching.

Pena (neck) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Rangers, Chandler Rome of The Athleticreports.

Pena will sit for the third consecutive game as he continues to deal with neck stiffness. Mauricio Dubon will receive another start at shortstop for Houston.

Abrams is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Washington will withhold three of its lefty-hitting regulars in Abrams, Luis Garcia and Corey Dickerson from the starting nine for the series finale with southpaw Ranger Suarez on the bump for Philadelphia. Ildemaro Vargas will check in at shortstop after Abrams started both of the first two games of the series while going 2-for-7 with a triple, an RBI and a run.

Mateo stole a base as a pinch runner in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Twins.

Mateo started the game on the bench but ran for Adley Rutschman in the ninth inning with the Orioles down a run. Since Jordan Westburg came up from Triple-A Norfolk, Mateo's seen his playing time dwindle, to the point where Mateo may be stuck in a short-side platoon role. The shortstop didn't help his case to play more, hitting just .196 with six steals in June. He has a .220/.267/.350 slash line with 22 thefts, six home runs, 27 RBI and 37 runs scored over 235 plate appearances this season, though he's cooled off dramatically following a strong April.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Mookie Betts will get a turn at shortstop while Rojas takes a seat after starting in seven of the past eight games. The 34-year-old saw his four-game hitting streak come to an end with an 0-for-3 showing in Saturday's 6-4 loss.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Giants.

The Mets produced only four hits on the afternoon, but three of them were third-inning solo shots as Lindor followed Francisco Alvarez and Brandon Nimmo in going yard off Anthony DeSclafani. Lindor has added more than 50 points to his OPS in the last couple weeks, slashing .304/.382/.674 over his last 13 games with five homers, three steals, 11 runs and 11 RBI.
