Seager went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to Minnesota.

Seager returned to the lineup Friday after a day off, and his bat remained hot. He homered for a fourth straight game, connecting in his first at-bat to give the Rangers an early 2-0 lead. He's hit safely in eight straight (.357, five homers) and has an on-base streak of 18 games (.420 OBP, seven homers).

Henderson went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double and two runs scored in Friday's win over the White Sox.

Henderson hammered a two-run shot during Baltimore's three-run fifth inning. The star infielder moved back into a tie with Houston's Kyle Tucker for the MLB home run lead. Henderson is slashing .272/.362/.607 with 26 extra-base hits and 37 RBI through 49 games. Surprisingly, he's hitting just .243 (18-for-74) this month.

Tovar went 4-for-6 with a double and two RBI in Friday's victory over Philadelphia.

Tovar had a career night against the Phillies, collecting his first ever four-hit game and driving home the winning run in extras. The Colorado shortstop has been hot over his last 10 games, batting .347 (17-for-49) with three homers, eight runs scored and eight RBI. Overall, Tovar sports a .285/.317/.473 slash line in 221 plate appearances this season.

Betts went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a walk in Friday's loss to the Reds.

Betts led the game off with a single, knocked an RBI double in the second inning and added another double in the fourth. He entered Friday in a small slump, going 4-for-22 (.182) over his previous six contests. Despite the skid, he's hitting .291 through 20 games this month. Betts is slashing .338/.438/.554 with 25 extra-base hits through 240 plate appearances on the season.

Neto said Friday that MRI results on his right elbow showed inflammation, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Registerreports.

Neto had to exit Wednesday's game against Houston after feeling soreness in his elbow after a throw to first base, though it appears he managed to avoid a significant injury. He will attempt to test his elbow by throwing before Friday's game versus Cleveland, though he has already been left out of the Halos' starting lineup. Kyren Paris will get the nod at shortstop instead while batting ninth.

Baez is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays.

The 31-year-old will cede shortstop duties to Zach McKinstry. Baez has started nine of the last 10 games for the Tigers, batting 11-for-34 with nine RBI in that stretch.

Volpe went 2-for-5 with a double, a run and a stolen base against the Mariners in Thursday's 5-0 victory.

Volpe led off the seventh inning with a double, stole third base and subsequently scored on a Juan Soto single. It was the 10th theft in 12 tries for Volpe, who has now reached double-digit steals in each of his first two MLB campaigns. The shortstop is on pace to exceed last year's numbers in most categories except power -- he has six homers through 51 contests after going deep 21 times in 159 games last season -- and his .278/.349/.429 slash line highlights his substantial growth at the plate.

Atlanta optioned Williams to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

The 27-year-old had his contract selected by Atlanta in mid-April, but he tallied just four plate appearances during his month with the big club. Joey Wendle was signed to a major-league contract Friday and is taking Williams' place on the roster.

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

All three knocks were singles, but they continued a hot streak for Bichette that has seen him reel off multiple hits in three of the last four games and five of the last nine. Since May 8, the All-Star shortstop is slashing .380/.426/.580 with four doubles, two homers, one steal, six runs and nine RBI in 13 contests.

Williams got the start at third base Thursday and went 0-for-2 in a win over the Cubs.

Zack Short has seen the bulk of the playing time at the hot corner while Austin Riley (side) has been on the shelf, but Williams got his first start of the season at any position Thursday, although he didn't do much with the opportunity. The 27-year-old utility player has only two other plate appearances on the season, and he's still looking for his first hit of 2024.
