Martinez (hand) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Thursday in his first rehab game with the Arizona Complex League Guardians.

Martinez began the season on the injured list with a right foot contusion but then suffered a fractured hamate bone six weeks ago while on a rehab assignment for the foot injury. The 22-year-old will eventually move up to a higher affiliate and is likely to be optioned to Triple-A Columbus once he's deemed ready rather than be added to the Guardians' roster.

Wisely went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Pirates.

Wisely's playing time has been sparse, but he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts and one RBI over his first five major-league games of the season. He got the start at shortstop Thursday and delivered with a multi-hit effort, as well as his first steal of the campaign. The utility man hit .175 with a .498 OPS, two home runs and two steals over 131 plate appearances in the majors last year. Wisely can cover the middle infield and all three outfield spots, but it's unlikely he comes anywhere near steady playing time in 2024.

Schuemann went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings win over the Rockies.

Facing a four-run deficit in the bottom of the 11th inning, Schuemann sparked the Athletics' rally with an RBI double before scoring on Abraham Toro's single. Through 19 games in May, Schuemann is batting .317 (19-for-60) with five extra-base hits and six RBI. The 26-year-old is up to a .262/.344/.381 slash line with two home runs, three steals, nine RBI and 11 runs scored over 96 plate appearances. Schuemann should continue to start at shortstop, filling in for Darell Hernaiz (ankle), who is on the 60-day injured list and not eligible to return until July.

Kim went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Kim seemingly has a green light to run right now -- he's logged five steals over his last five games, going 5-for-15 with five walks in that span. The shortstop is up to 13 thefts on 14 attempts this season, putting him roughly on pace to match his total of 38 steals in 2023. Kim has a .216/.335/.369 slash line with six home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored, four doubles and two triples over 52 games, but his recent hitting suggests he may be turning things around. Kim still figures to hit in the bottom half of the order most of the time.

Winn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Orioles.

Winn's seventh-inning solo shot ended up being the difference in the game. The shortstop is on a roll, having hit safely in his last 11 contests. During that span, he's gone 15-for-41 (.366) with two homers, seven RBI and two stolen bases. He's up to a .295/.348/.432 slash line over 157 plate appearances this season, and he's now hit leadoff against the last two southpaws the Cardinals have faced.

Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.

Correa extended Minnesota's lead to 2-0 with two outs in the sixth inning with a solo shot off Jake Irvin, his fourth of the year and second in three days. The 29-year-old Correa has a hit in five straight games, going 5-for-17 with a 1.133 OPS in that span. He's now slashing .268/.362/.455 on the season with 13 RBI and 18 runs scored through 130 plate appearances.

Seager is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest in Philadelphia.

Seager has hit home runs in three straight games, but he will be given a breather Thursday as the Rangers go up against Zack Wheeler and the Phillies. Josh Smith will slide over to shortstop and Ezequiel Duran will occupy third base while Seager rests.

Luciano is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Luciano has taken the reins at shortstop since Nick Ahmed (wrist) landed on the 10-day injured list May 10, with the 22-year-old having started each of the last five games while going 6-for-17 with two doubles and three doubles. He'll likely still continue to see the bulk of the reps at shortstop sans Ahmed, but Luciano will give way to Brett Wisely in the series finale.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the White Sox.

Bichette's power has been largely absent this season -- this was just his third homer of the season through 45 contests. Two of them have come over the last 10 games, a span in which he's hitting .351 (13-for-37) with seven RBI and four doubles. The shortstop is slashing a middling .233/.289/.349 with 19 RBI, 15 runs scored, four stolen bases, nine doubles and a triple through 187 plate appearances, though he's starting to turn things around.

Seager went 2-for-3 with two walks and a solo home run during Wednesday's 11-4 loss to Philadelphia.

Seager reached base four times Wednesday, but he was only able to reach home plate on a solo homer in the seventh off Gregory Soto. The shortstop has gone yard in three straight games and has hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games. Seager trails only Gunnar Henderson and Elly De La Cruz for the most home runs at the shortstop position.
