Wendle went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in the Rays' 8-2 win over the Indians on Sunday.

Wendle has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games yet has only mustered up a slash line of .250/.263/.472 over that span due in part to the fact that he's only had one multi-hit game in that same stretch of games. He continues to be rotated in and out of the lineup with fellow third baseman Matt Duffy as they continue to split time at the hot corner.

Diaz started at first base in place of the injured Yuli Gurriel (elbow) and went 1-for-3 with a double in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Blue Jays.

Diaz was slated to start at third base but shifted across the diamond when Gurriel became a late scratch. This was his third start in the six games since Diaz was activated off the injured list last week.

Anderson went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Braves.

Anderson, who led MLB with 44 hits during the month of August, continued to hit with the calendar flipping to September. This was the 10th time in the last 11 games that he's batted second. "I like it," Anderson told Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times. "I'm getting more at-bats, and I get a chance to start something off early, get the game going." Anderson is looking to finish out what has been his best season. Had he enough at-bats to qualify, Anderson's .328 average would rank sixth in MLB.

Mondesi went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and three stolen bases in the Royals' 6-4 comeback win against the Orioles on Sunday.

Mondesi had quite the "welcome back" game with his first four-hit game of the 2019 season and the third overall of his young, promising major-league career. To top that off, the 24-year-old stole three bases for just the second time in his career. It was originally reported that the Royals did not want him diving or sliding in order to avoid any risk of re-injuring his shoulder, but that was definitely not the case Sunday. Mondesi has now upped his batting average to .274 on the season and has regained his spot as No. 2 in the majors in steals with 34.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Angels.

Bogaerts knocked an RBI single in the first inning before launching a two-run shot in the third for his 31st long ball of 2019. It was his third multi-hit performance in his last five games. The MVP candidate now owns a .312/.388/.580 slash line with 103 RBI.

Tejada signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Sunday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

He'll report to Triple-A Syracuse for now with the hope of receiving a promotion to the big club later in September. Tejada made his first big-league appearance since 2017 in August, going hitless in nine at-bats before the Mets released him a few days ago.

Seager is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Arizona, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Seager will receive the day off after starting the last seven games and going 6-for-28 with three doubles and four RBI in that stretch. Chris Taylor will start at shortstop in his place Sunday.

Crawford is expected to miss at least a week due to the right hamstring injury he aggravated in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Crawford underwent an MRI on the injury Saturday, and while the results weren't revealed, the team was concerned enough to send the 24-year-old back to Seattle for further examination. Given that the last-place Mariners have little on the line at this point, it wouldn't be surprising if the team erred on the side of caution and kept Crawford sidelined for the remainder of the season. Dylan Moore is expected to serve as the primary replacement at shortstop for however long Crawford is sidelined.

Berti is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.

Berti's time as the Marlins' everyday shortstop looks to be over with Miguel Rojas (hamstring) returning from the 10-day injured list Sunday, but the rookie should still see steady playing time thanks to his ability to play several other positions. The speedy 29-year-old has slashed .282/.363/.473 with four home runs, seven steals and 24 runs in 29 games since his own return from the IL on July 31.

Gordon went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday, snapping a 2-for-20 slump.

Gordon closed out August with only his second multi-hit effort of the month. The veteran's .274 average on the season is certainly respectable, but his .301 on-base percentage has plenty of room for improvement. Additionally, with 19 steals this season, Gordon is on pace for his lowest total in that category since recording 10 during a 38-game season with the Dodgers back in 2013.
