Adames went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 1-0 win over the Rangers.

He took Taylor Hearn deep in the seventh inning to give Tyler Glasnow and the bullpen all the run support they would need. Adames also struck out twice, giving him a shaky 2:9 BB:K over his last seven games, but he's hit both his homers on the season during that stretch while supplying four RBI and three runs.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Monday's loss against the Brewers.

Baez has been one of the few bright spots in an anemic Cubs offense through the first 10 games of the season, and he has hit safely in four straight contests. The slick shortstop has homered twice with five RBI during that stretch.

Anderson (hamstring) is expected to return to the lineup when first eligible Thursday against Cleveland, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Anderson suffered a left hamstring strain in the fourth game of the season. While the injury was serious enough to send him to the injured list, he's recovered well and isn't in line for a lengthy absence. Leury Garcia and Danny Mendick have been filling in for him at shortstop and should remain the primary options there for the next three games.

Crawford went 2-for-4 in Sunday's win over the Twins.

The struggling shortstop's first multi-hit effort of the season pushed his average over the Mendoza Line for the first time as well. Crawford has actually reached safely in seven of his first nine games, but he's yet to notch an extra-base hit and has generated an anemic 14.3 percent hard-hit rate through 34 plate appearances.

Mondesi (oblique) is still resting to let his injury fully heal as of Monday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Mondesi has been on the injured list since the start of the regular season after he tweaked his oblique late in spring training. The 25-year-old has been resting as the team doesn't want to rush him back and risk a setback that would force him to miss additional time. Manager Mike Matheny declined to give a timetable for Mondesi's return Monday, but Nicky Lopez should continue to fill in at shortstop while Mondesi is sidelined.

Turner went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 3-0 loss to the Dodgers.

Turner singled in each of his first three at-bats, as he was responsible for three of the five hits Kershaw gave up in the game. The 27-year-old also swiped his first bag of the season and turned in quite a productive fantasy performance on an otherwise very unproductive day at the plate for the Nationals. Turner has been top four in MLB in steals each of the last four seasons, so his stolen base Sunday will likely be the first of many to come.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three strikeouts in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Pirates.

Baez provided the Cubs' lone run with a solo shot in his first at-bat Sunday, his third home run of the year. The shortstop has now recorded hits in each of the past three games and has gone 5-for-11 with two home runs, three RBI and five strikeouts during that time.

Rockies manager Bud Black said Sunday that X-rays on Owings' sprained left thumb returned negative, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Owings' thumb injury was still significant enough for him to land on the 10-day injured list Saturday, but the Rockies are seemingly hopeful he'll avoid a lengthy absence. Black said that Owings will still receive a precautionary MRI next weekend when the Rockies return to Denver.

Wendle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rays manager Kevin Cash will drop two of his lefty-hitting regulars from the lineup in Wendle and Yoshi Tsutsugo in order to make room for more right-handed bats to counter Yankees southpaw Jordan Montgomery. Wendle had started each of the past three games, going 4-for-9 with a double, two runs and two RBI.

Ahmed went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Reds.

Ahmed was activated off the injured list and made his season debut Saturday. He had been dealing with knee discomfort for much of spring training.
