Lindor won't be in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader at St. Louis, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The 27-year-old went 0-for-3 during the matinee to extend his hitless streak to 23 at-bats over the past six games, so he'll head to the bench for the first time this season. Jonathan Villar will start at shortstop in Lindor's place for the nightcap.

Tejada agreed Wednesday with the Phillies on a minor-league contract, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

Tejada most recently spent the 2020 season as a member of the Blue Jays' 60-man roster pool, but he never received a call-up to the big leagues. An immediate opportunity at the MLB level won't be available in Philadelphia either, so Tejada will likely have to bide his time at Triple-A Lehigh Valley with the hope of eventually getting a promotion. The 31-year-old infielder owns a .250/.324/.317 slash line over 663 career games in parts of nine seasons in the majors.

Berti is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Berti's time as a regular in the Miami lineup appears to be over after Brian Anderson (oblique) was reinstated from the injured list Tuesday. Anderson took over as the Marlins' third baseman in Miami's 9-3 win in the series opener, snapping a streak of 11 straight starts at the position for Berti. With Isan Diaz and Lewis Brinson seemingly locked into everyday roles in place of the Marlins' other two injured regulars -- Jazz Chisholm (hamstring) and Starling Marte (rib), respectively -- Berti may only be in store for a couple of starts per week.

Smith will miss the start of the season with a hand injury, Jim Callis of MLB.com reports.

It's unclear how serious the injury is. If it's a fracture, Smith could be out months, but Callis notes that the Yankees hope Smith will be able to join an affiliate (likely High-A or Double-A) in the near future.

Franco went 3-for-5 with a triple, stolen base, two RBI and a run in Triple-A Durham's 7-5 win over Memphis on Tuesday.

Playing above the High-A level for the first time in his career, the 20-year-old uber-prospect certainly didn't look out of place. He was responsible for the game's most pivotal hit, as his seventh-inning infield single plated the go-ahead run. Franco is poised to make his MLB debut at some point in 2021, and he could already represent a notable upgrade from the Rays' incumbent shortstop, Willy Adames, who has posted a .546 OPS through 30 games.

Baez went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run during Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.

Baez went 0-for-2 with a walk (just his second of the season) in the Cubs' 7-1 win in Game 1, but he made his presence felt in Game 2 -- he came into the game and reached on a fielder's choice as a pinch hitter in the sixth, then launched a two-run shot with two outs in the bottom of the eighth. The slick-fielding shortstop now has eight homers and 24 RBI this season, matching his totals in both categories from last season in 34 fewer games.

Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

The veteran shortstop had gone just 3-for-33 (.091) over his prior 10 games, due in part to nagging lower-body issues, but a day off Sunday followed by a team off day Monday gave him a chance to heal up and clear his head. Rojas is hitting .258 on the season with zero homers, three steals, eight RBI and 14 runs through 27 contests, and he'll continue to see plenty of action as the leadoff hitter until Jazz Chisholm (hamstring) returns.

Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and two runs scored Tuesday against Detroit.

Bogaerts was part of a big offensive performance for Boston, smacking his sixth homer of the season in the second inning. He also managed his third consecutive multi-hit game, a stretch during which he's managed two home runs, four RBI, five runs scored and one stolen base. For the season, Bogaerts has a very strong .351/.385/.604 line with 17 RBI and 16 runs across 117 plate appearances.

Crawford is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Crawford rejoined the lineup for the matinee after missing the past couple games with a calf issue, and he went 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and two runs. Mauricio Dubon will take over at shortstop in the nightcap.

Rojas (hip) will start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas missed Sunday's game against the Nationals due to tightness in his hamstring and hip. He's good to go following two days of rest (including Monday's off day) and will be looking to bounce back from a 3-for-33 stretch over his last 10 games.
