Adames is batting sixth and playing shortstop Saturday against the Reds, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Adames begins his Brewers career one day after being dealt by the Rays, with whom he spent his first three-plus MLB seasons. A defensively-sound shortstop, the 25-year-old figures to take the reins from the error-prone Luis Urias and should be an everyday staple at the position for Milwaukee.

Swanson went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Friday's 20-1 rout of the Pirates.

His seventh-inning blast off Chasen Shreve was one of seven Atlanta homers on the night. Swanson has gone yard in back-to-back games while reeling off three straight multi-hit efforts, and he's hitting .296 (21-for-71) in May with five of his seven home runs on the season.

Diaz left Friday's game against the Rangers with left hamstring tightness, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

If "tightness" is code for a strain, Diaz will likely require a stint on the 10-day injured list. He went 1-for-2 with an RBI double before exiting and was replaced by Carlos Correa.

Franco, who's slashing .283/.333/.533 with eight extra-base hits and 10 RBI across 66 plate appearances at Triple-A Durham, is presumably one step closer to a big-league promotion after Willy Adames was traded to the Brewers on Friday.

As those numbers indicate, Franco is more than holding his own in his first exposure to Triple-A arms, and the fact he's only struck out at a 13.6 percent clip further supports the notion he's ready for his next challenge. However, Taylor Walls has posted even better numbers, slashing .327/.468/.490 over 62 plate appearances for Durham, and is the one getting the call to replace Adames on the Rays roster. Franco will continue getting regular reps at Durham for the time being, but Adames' departure represents the removal of one obstacle from his path to the majors.

Correa is not in the lineup Friday against the Rangers. Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa is 12-for-30 over his past eight games but will take a seat for the third time this season. Aledmys Diaz will work at shortstop for the Astros on Friday.

Adames and Trevor Richards were acquired by the Brewers from the Rays on Friday in exchange for relievers J.P. Feyereisen and Drew Rasmussen, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Luis Urias has struggled defensively at shortstop since the departure of Orlando Arcia, prompting Milwaukee to explore the trade market. Adames has struggled at the plate so far in 2021 with a .625 OPS, but he posted a .755 OPS across his first three seasons in the big-leagues. He figures to take over the starting role at shortstop for the Brewers once he officially joins his new team.

Swanson went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Pirates.

Swanson homered in the sixth inning off Wil Crowe. He scored on William Contreras' three-run home run in the second inning. It was his third three-hit game and second game with multiple extra-base hits this season. The 27-year-old is slashing .222/.281/.395 with six home runs, 16 RBI, 16 runs and a pair of steals in 179 plate appearances. He leads Atlanta with a 31.4 percent strikeout rate.

Rojas went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 6-0 win over Philadelphia.

Rojas opened the scoring with a solo shot off Philadelphia starter David Hale in the third inning. While not known for his power, Rojas has put together a solid season across the board. The shortstop has a .291/.360/.466 slash line, three home runs, 15 RBI, 29 runs scored and four stolen bases in 41 games. He'll remain near the top of the order, although Rojas has typically hit second when second baseman Jazz Chisholm is in the lineup.

Wendle went 4-for-6 with two solo home runs Thursday against the Orioles.

Wendle opened and closed the scoring for the Rays on Thursday by slugging a home run in the second and eighth innings. It was the first time Wendle has gone yard since April 18. However, he now has three multi-hit games in his last four starts, and he's racked up six runs scored, four RBI and one stolen base in that same four-game span. Despite his lack of recent power production, Wendle has maintained an impressive .309/.354/.537 line with 28 runs scored and 20 RBI across 147 plate appearances.

Crawford went 3-for-6 with a home run, six RBI and three runs scored Thursday against the Reds.

Crawford played a big role in the team's offensive outburst Thursday, highlighted by a three-run homer in the fifth inning -- his 11th of the season. He delivered a two-RBI single two frames later to cap a very productive day at the plate. Crawford has been a surprise with the bat to begin the season as he holds a 144 wRC+ through 134 plate appearances.
