Mateo went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

The veteran speedster ran wild in the sixth inning as he took advantage of the battery of Trevor Richards and rookie catcher Gabriel Moreno to collect his 15th and 16th steals of the year. Mateo is one behind Julio Rodriguez for the major-league lead in the category, but he's added very little fantasy value otherwise with a .214/.249/.344 slash line, four homers, 15 RBI and 18 runs through 56 games.

Edman went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in a 9-1 win over the Pirates during the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

After getting a breather in the matinee, Edman launched the first pitch he saw in the nightcap to right field for a leadoff homer. The infielder remains on pace for a career-best campaign, racking up seven homers, 15 steals, 26 RBI and 51 runs through 62 games to go along with a sharp .285/.359/.434 slash line.

Crawford was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Twins for unspecified reasons, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Crawford was bumped up to the leadoff spot for Tuesday's contest, but he won't end up starting for undisclosed reasons. The 27-year-old should be considered day-to-day until more information is available. Sam Haggerty will take Crawford's place in the lineup with Adam Frazier now batting leadoff.

Chang went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 3-1 loss to the Cardinals during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

He spoiled a combined shutout bid for the Cards by taking Genesis Cabrera deep in the seventh inning. It was the first homer at any level this season for Chang, who is batting .208 (5-for-24) in nine games since joining the Pirates.

Arroyo has hit .400/.462/.511 with a homer and a steal across his last 11 games for Single-A Modesto.

His season line is now at a cool .317/.386/.523 with 10 long balls and nine swipes. The 18-year-old Arroyo seems to be improving by the day, and while his strikeout rate has crept up a bit in recent weeks, he's still been hitting steadily while providing excellent defense at shortstop.

Anderson (groin), who begins his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Charlotte, should rejoin the White Sox at some point during the upcoming homestand, which begins June 20, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The 28-year-old will serve as the designated hitter during his first rehab game Tuesday before moving out to shortstop Wednesday. Manager Tony La Russa said he hoped Anderson would be sidelined only three weeks after Anderson went down with a strained groin at the end of April, and a return next week would be in line with that initial timeline. Danny Mendick has started the past 10 games at shortstop and should continue to see the bulk of the playing time there until Anderson rejoins the active roster.

Pena is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers after suffering a left wrist injury in Monday's 5-3 loss, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pena went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run Monday and played the full eight innings in the field, but he looked to have hurt his wrist while making a diving attempt at a ball at one point during the contest. Astros manager Dusty Baker didn't suggest after the game that Pena's injury was anything significant, so the rookie may just be sitting Tuesday for precautionary purposes. Aledmys Diaz replaces Pena at shortstop.

Amaya was promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

While Amaya was repeating Double-A this year, he did so in very impressive fashion. The 23-year-old shortstop hit .264/.370/.500 with nine home runs, three steals and a 120 wRC+. Most notably, he had by far the highest ISO (.236) of his career while trimming his K% from 21.6% in 2021 to 13.4% this season and increasing his BB% from 10.9% to 14.8%.

The Nationals designated Strange-Gordon for assignment Tuesday.

Though Strange-Gordon has produced a .305 average on the season, he failed to draw a walk in 59 plate appearances and generated only two extra-base hits. His speed and positional versatility made him a useful bench piece, though he became somewhat expendable once utility man Ehire Adrianza was activated from the injured list earlier this month. The Nationals called up reliever Reed Garrett from Triple-A Rochester to replace Strange-Gordon on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster.

Arcia is expected to step in as Atlanta's primary second baseman after Ozzie Albies (foot) was placed on the 60-day injured list Tuesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

In a corresponding move, Atlanta selected the contract of Phil Gosselin from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace Albies on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster, but Gosselin is expected to step into the utility role that Arcia has handled for much of the season. In order to hold off Gosselin and other potential call-ups or trade acquisitions from playing time at the keystone, however, Arcia may need to demonstrate more dependability at the plate than he showed in 2021, when he produced a career-worst .567 OPS in 89 plate appearances between stops with Milwaukee and Atlanta. He's performed far better in sporadic playing time this season, slashing .313/.393/.458 in 56 plate appearances. Arcia is likely to occupy a spot near the bottom of the batting order while he fills in for Albies.
