Adames went 1-for-5 with one homer, one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Cincinnati.

Adames took a 2-0 cutter from Graham Ashcraft deep to left-center in the third inning for his 22nd home run of the season. Sunday's effort was indicative of his season as a whole, as with the 1-for-5 effort, Adames is now hitting .220 but is second in home runs among shortstops only to Corey Seager. Despite the low average, Adames' power and position atop the Brewers lineup make him a top option at the position.

Swanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets.

Swanson was the only Atlanta batter to record a hit off Jacob deGrom, and he made it count with a sixth-inning blast to right-center field to end the Mets' ace's start. The homer snapped an 18-game power drought for Swanson, who last went yard July 14. The shortstop is up to 16 homers, 58 RBI, 72 runs scored and 14 stolen bases while slashing .292/.348/.461 through 110 contests.

Perdomo is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Perdomo is 2-for-13 with a home run, four RBI, two runs and a stolen base through five games in August and will head to the bench Sunday. Sergio Alcantara will take over at shortstop in the series finale versus Colorado.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Fellow rookie Ezequiel Duran will take over at third base while Smith sits for the second time in the four-game series. Smith is slashing an unremarkable .234/.321/.255 in 16 games since the All-Star break and may have to settle for something less than an everyday role until his performance proves worthy of a larger share of playing time.

Arcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Arcia was held out of the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader and will be on the bench again Sunday. Ehire Adrianza will work at the keystone during the series finale in New York.

Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Correa will be getting his first day off since July 6 while Nick Gordon takes over at shortstop in the series finale. Dating back to the All-Star break, Correa has hit .192 with two home runs, four RBI and six additional runs while starting in all 13 of the Twins' games.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas started the past nine contests and will take a seat after posting a .475 OPS during that stretch. Joey Wendle will shift to shortstop while Charles Leblanc starts at the keystone Sunday at Wrigley Field.

Edman (undisclosed) is starting at second base and batting ninth Sunday against the Yankees.

Edman was scratched from Saturday's lineup for unspecified reasons but is back in the starting nine a day later. The 27-year-old has struggled in 12 games since the All-Star break with a .225/.311/.275 slash line.

Marcano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Marcano will hit the bench for the series finale after he went 5-for-16 with a triple, a walk, two runs and two RBI while starting each of the past four games at either second base or in left field. Kevin Newman should be the Bucs' primary option at the keystone moving forward, but Marcano could occupy the strong side of a platoon in left field with the switch-hitting Greg Allen.

Anderson had his three-game suspension reduced to two games Sunday following a successful appeal, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. He'll begin serving the ban in Sunday's contest in Texas.

Anderson has now been suspended on three different occasions this season. He missed the first two games of the 2022 campaign stemming from an altercation with an umpire last September, and he drew a one-game suspension in late April for an obscene gesture, but the ban was later lifted and a fine was imposed instead. Anderson was also able to get his latest suspension reduced, but he'll still be forced to miss Sunday's series finale as well as the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader in Kansas City after making contact with an umpire in a July 30 game against the Athletics. The White Sox recalled Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte earlier Sunday to provide depth in the middle infield while Anderson serves his two-game suspension.
