Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL
Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Earns High-A promotion
Tovar has gone 3-for-11 with a double and two RBI in three games since being promoted to High-A Spokane.
He certainly earned the promotion after slashing .307/.346/.510 with 11 homers and 21 steals across 75 games in Low-A. Tovar makes a ton of contact -- he's struck out just 39 times this year, and he's walked just 14 times -- and when you combine that with his speed and the burgeoning power stroke he's shown this year, there's a lot for dynasty leaguers to get excited about. He plays a complete game, as he's an excellent defensive shortstop as well. Tovar may be barely 20 years old and still a couple years off from the majors, but he's become a name to watch.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Smacks two homers
Story went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI on Thursday against the Cubs.
Story opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run. He followed that up a two-run shot in the fifth frame, bringing his total on the season to 15. Story is riding a five-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 7-for-19 with two doubles, two homers, five RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base. Overall, he has a .247/.318/.452 line across 396 plate appearances on the campaign.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Gets breather Thursday
Edman isn't starting Thursday's game against Atlanta.
Edman cooled off to begin the series against Atlanta, as he went 0-for-8 with a stolen base and a strikeout across the last two games. He'll take a seat for the series finale while Matt Carpenter starts at the keystone and bats fifth.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Rockies' Chris Owings: Ruled out for season
Owings will miss the remainder of the 2021 campaign after doctors put a pin in his left thumb Thursday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Owings was already sidelined indefinitely after he underwent surgery on his left thumb in late July, and he'll officially be shut down for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old also had his 2020 season cut short due to a hamstring issue, and he appeared in just 21 games this year due to the thumb issues. He'll now prepare for spring training in 2022 after he slashed .326/.420/.628 with a homer, nine runs, five RBI and two stolen bases during his limited sample this season.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Swipes bag Wednesday
Crawford went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-1 win over Arizona.
The shortstop didn't make a huge impact in Wednesday's contest, but he was able to produce his ninth stolen base of the year. Crawford has hit safely in six straight games, going 8-for-26 (.308) with five RBI, four runs scored and a pair of steals in that span. His season slash line is at a hearty .288/.363/.532 through 339 plate appearances.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Perfect at plate Wednesday
Swanson went 4-for-4 with three runs and a stolen base in a 7-4 win over St. Louis on Wednesday.
The shortstop rapped four singles in the win and came around to score three of Atlanta's seven runs. The four-hit game was his first of the campaign, and Swanson supplemented the hit barrage with a stolen base in the fourth inning. The big game pushed his season average to .254, and he is riding a hot 14-game stretch during which he is slashing .382/.424/.573 with four homers, 16 RBI, 12 runs and two steals.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Mets' Javier Baez: Slugs another homer
Baez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Wednesday against the Marlins.
Baez led off the eighth inning with a solo home run, breaking a 3-3 tie. It was his second homer since joining the Mets and 24th for the season. In total, Baez has gone 4-for-20 with three RBI and four runs scored across five games with his new club.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Not starting Wednesday
Rojas is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rojas started the past seven games and will head to the bench after going 7-for-30 in that stretch. Jazz Chisholm (COVID-19 protocols) was activated from the injured list and will start at shortstop, while Isan Diaz works at the keystone.

Marco Luciano SS | NYY
Giants' Marco Luciano: Gets bump up to High-A
The Giants promoted Luciano from Low-A San Jose to High-A Eugene on Wednesday.
The No. 1 prospect in the San Francisco organization and one of the top teenage hitters in the minor leagues, Luciano earned his way to Eugene after posting a .373 on-base percentage, 18 home runs and five stolen bases across 308 plate appearances at Low-A. He's unlikely to provide much impact as a base stealer as he rises through the Giants' system, and a move off shortstop could eventually be in the cards, but Luciano's combination of power and plate discipline will give him a chance at stardom once he reaches his prime.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Slugs 19th homer
Adames went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and three runs scored Tuesday against the Pirates.
Adames did the majority of his damage on a home run against Max Kranick. He now has 19 homers on the season, three of which have come in his last five starts. While he's produced plenty of power, Tuesday's effort marks only his third multi-hit effort in his last 13 games. Adames now has a .260/.336/.488 line across 411 plate appearances on the campaign.
