Masyn Winn SS | STL
Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Knee surgery scheduled for Thursday
Winn will have a consultation Wednesday and then undergo arthroscopic surgery on the meniscus tear in his right knee Thursday in Dallas, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
More details regarding Winn's post-op rehab should be available following the operation, but the full expectation is that he will be 100 percent for the start of spring training. Winn played with the injury for several months before the decision was made in mid-September to shut him down. Thomas Saggese has been filling in at shortstop for the Cardinals since Winn was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Not expected to be activated Monday
Bogaerts (foot) now appears set for activation from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Previous reports indicated Bogaerts would return from his left foot injury Monday. However, he went through another pregame workout Monday instead, as the Padres have apparently elected to give him one more day before he's reinstated. Jose Iglesias is starting at shortstop for the Padres in Monday's game versus the Brewers.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Back in lineup at DH
Abrams (shoulder) will start at designated hitter and bat second in Monday's game in Atlanta, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
Abrams didn't play in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Mets after he jammed his right shoulder late in the Nationals' 5-3 win in 11 innings a day earlier, but he'll be cleared to rejoin the starting nine as Washington opens a three-game set in Atlanta. However, Abrams won't be entering the lineup at shortstop for the first time this season, as Washington will ease him back into action in a non-defensive role. Nasim Nunez will get the nod at shortstop Monday.

Otto Lopez SS | MIA
Marlins' Otto Lopez: Three hits against Texas
Lopez went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Rangers.
The steal was his 15th of the season, and he's reached the 15-15 plateau for the first time in his career. Lopez is having a strong finish to a breakout campaign, and over his last 22 games he's slashing .300/.316/.467 with four homers, three stolen bases, 11 runs and 18 RBI.

Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL
Braves' Ha-Seong Kim: Extends hit streak with fifth homer
Kim went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Tigers.
The shortstop took Casey Mize deep in the fourth inning for a solo shot, extending his hit streak to nine games in the process. During that stretch, Kim is batting .394 (13-for-33) with two of his five homers on the season, along with eight RBI and 10 runs. It's been a tough, injury-plagued campaign for Kim, but a strong finish to 2025 could make it more likely he declines his $16 million player option for 2026 and hits the open market this winter in search of a long-term contract.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Phillies' Trea Turner: Eyeing Friday return
Turner (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday ahead of the final series of the regular season against the Twins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Turner is progressing well from a right hamstring strain and will face live pitching Tuesday and Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park. If that goes well, he appears likely to rejoin the Phillies' active roster Friday. The 32-year-old has been sidelined for the past two weeks of action.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Phillies' Trea Turner: Set to face live pitching this week
Turner (hamstring) is scheduled to face live pitching Tuesday and Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park, Bob Cooney of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Manager Rob Thomson adds that Turner is recovering well from his Grade 1 right hamstring strain and that the star shortstop will be reinstated from the injured list once he's able to run close to 100 percent. A return before the end of the regular season for Turner remains in play, though his earliest possible activation date appears to be Thursday based on the next steps in his rehab.

Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Extends hitting streak to 10 games
Lindor went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during the Mets' 3-2 loss to the Nationals on Sunday.
Lindor reduced the deficit to one run in the sixth frame with a solo shot off Jake Irvin. It was Lindor's 28th homer of 2025, putting him two away from logging 30 home runs for a third consecutive season. He is in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak, and over that span he has gone 13-for-39 (.333) with three steals, 13 runs, two homers and three RBI.

Nasim Nunez SS | WAS
Nationals' Nasim Nunez: Goes deep in win
Nunez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer during the Nationals' 3-2 win over the Mets on Sunday.
Nunez capped off the Nationals' three-run second inning with a two-run shot off Sean Manaea. Since being recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Sept. 1, he has gone 6-for-26 (.231 average) with three home runs, one steal and seven RBI. Nunez should continue to fill a utility role for the Nationals in the final week of the season, with most of his starts likely to come against left-handed pitching.

Jared Triolo SS | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: Big day in win
Triolo went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, three total RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the A's.
