Bogaerts (groin) is starting at shortstop and batting third Tuesday against the Rangers, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

Bogaerts is ready to return to action after missing a pair of games with a tight groin. The 24-year-old, who is slashing .314/.366/.455 with five homers and nine stolen bases in 77 games this season, will face Yu Darvish in his return to the starting lineup.

Tejada is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.

Relative to the norm, Tejada has heated up at the plate with five hits over the last five games, which is likely good enough to secure him the primary starting gig at shortstop for now. However, he'll still likely give way to Paul Janish a couple times each week, with Tuesday's game representing one of those occasions.

Adames, who hit his sixth home run as part of a 2-for-4 effort for Triple-A Durham on Monday, is now hitting .364 over his last 30 games, Mike Rosenbaum of MLB.com reports.

The 21-year-old shortstop entered June with a sluggish .230/.309/.344 line but his subsequent offensive outburst, which includes 13 extra-base hits in his last 30 games, has his average up to .280. Adames has five multi-hit efforts in the last 10 games, although his 24 percent strikeout rate on the season has room for improvement. Adames' overall progress is encouraging, however, as he certainly seems to be hitting his stride in what is his first exposure to Triple-A arms. Notably, the shortstop position at the big-league level remains in flux at the moment, as Matt Duffy's heel issues continue to keep his long-term outlook murky.

Adrianza (abdomen) was activated from the disabled list following Monday's game, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Adrianza has been ready to go, but the club decided to keep an extra reliever for Monday's series opener against the Angels. He has just 63 plate appearances in 26 games this year and will likely be used in a similarly sparse utility role going forward.

Manager Paul Molitor said Adrianza (abdomen) will be activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

While there was a possibility that Adrianza would return Monday, the Twins opted to keep an extra reliever on hand for their series opener against the Angels instead. The 27-year-old should return to his role as a little-used utility infielder upon his return.

This is good news for Bogaerts, who is set to miss his second straight game with a tight groin. "We're confident it's not a long term thing," Farrell said about the injury, indicating that Bogaerts likely won't be out long even if he is unable to return to the lineup Tuesday. Tzu-Wei Lin will continue to serve as the Red Sox's shortstop while Bogaerts remains out.

Correa extended his hitting streak to 12 games while delivering two of his team's nine extra-base hits in this one. With 11 runs scored and 15 more driven in during those 12 contests, Correa has certainly made the most of the opportunities presented by batting in the heart of baseball's second most potent lineup. It's scary to think that the 22-year-old shortstop likely still hasn't hit his ceiling with this season's .319/.394/.554 line.

Adrianza (abdomen) could come off the 10-day disabled list as soon as Monday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The Twins will wait and see what they have on hand in terms of available pitchers for Monday's series opener against the Angels before determining if they can get away with carrying one less reliever to accommodate Adrianza's return. The utility infielder played in both ends of a doubleheader at Triple-A Rochester on Saturday and has gone 1-for-10 at the dish during his rehab assignment.

Bogaerts was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays due to right groin tightness, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports.

Bogaerts was having difficultly getting stretched out prior to the game, and after consulting with team trainers and manager John Farrell, it was decided that the 24-year-old would require a day off. Tzu-Wei Lin will move over to shortstop in place of Bogaerts, while Deven Marrero enters the lineup at third base. The Red Sox should provide another update on Bogaerts' condition before the team continues its road trip in Texas on Monday.
