Featherston was placed into the lineup Thursday due to Tim Beckham's apparent injury, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

There hasn't been word on why Beckham was scratched from the lineup but Featherston will take over at second base while batting sixth. If Beckham winds up missing a little time, Featherston could get another start or two before the All-Star break, but Brad Miller (groin) is nearing a return from the DL so there are a decent amount of variables at play.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to Texas.

The Red Sox bats, which have been so productive lately, were shut down by the Rangers' Andrew Cashner, who did not allow a hit over his first 5.2 innings. The homer was Bogaerts' sixth of the season and first in 11 games. Despite what appears to be a drop in power, as measured by his home run total, Bogaerts has posted a career-high .455 slugging through 79 games.

Correa (thumb) will be available off the bench Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Manager A.J. Hinch said the Astros were exercising precaution by holding Correa out of the starting lineup Wednesday, one day after the All-Star shortstop jammed his left thumb into a catcher's shin guard. "He's doing fine," Hinch said. "He arguably should play, but he's not." This news bodes well for Correa's availability Thursday.

That said, Lindor has posted a .321/.370/.477 slash line after the All-Star break over the last two seasons, so fantasy owners have reason to remain optimistic.

Correa left Tuesday's game after injuring himself on a headfirst slide into home plate, and is currently dealing with a left thumb injury. Although the shortstop received clean test results from the X-rays, the team will give him the day off while Marwin Gonzalez draws the start in his stead. He should be considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup for Thursday's series opener in Toronto.

Diaz was traded to the Yankees on Wednesday.

Diaz is toiling through a rough season in the minors, batting just .182/.348/.239 through 37 games, but the Yankees will bring him back after he spent all of 2016 with their Triple-A affiliate, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 32-year-old likely serves as organizational depth, as he hasn't made big-league appearance since 2015.

It seems that Correa has avoided a serious injury, as the tests on his injured left thumb revealed no structural damage. We'll simply have to wait to see if the 22-year-old is able to suit up for Wednesday's series finale against the Braves. He remains a true day-to-day case.

With the Astros leading the Braves 7-0 at the time of his removal, it's entirely possible that it was simply a precautionary move. Correa will be listed as day-to-day for the time being.
