Wendle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Athletics.

Sandwiched between C.J. Cron and Wilson Ramos, Wendle was the middle leg of a back-to-back-to-back home run sequence in the third inning. The 28-year-old is riding a modest six-game hitting streak and is slashing .283/.333/.407 through 145 at-bats in his first extended stay in the majors.

Correa will take a seat for Tuesday's matchup against the Yankees, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Alex Bregman will start at shortstop and bat second in Correa's stead. The 23-year-old is 7-for-31 with two extra-base hits and five RBI over the course of his last seven games, and figures to be back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale.

Gordon (toe) is expected to return from the 10-day disabled list Thursday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Gordon landed on the disabled list last week with a minor fracture in his right big toe, but he's feeling much better and it sounds like his stay on the shelf will be limited to the 10-day minimum. Divish noted that Gordon could face Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) in a live batting practice session Tuesday, but the Mariners may not want to risk the speedster fouling another ball off his toe. Once active, Gordon should immediately slot back in as the team's everyday leadoff man and primary second baseman.

Diaz (ankle) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A New Hampshire on Monday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.

Diaz, who has been sidelined for most of May with an ankle injury, was deemed ready for a rehab stint after getting through his running progression with no issues. Given the length of his absence, the shortstop will likely need to appear in multiple minor-league rehab games before the Blue Jays feel comfortable bringing him back, leaving his possible return date up in the air. Gio Urshela will continue to fill in at shortstop until Diaz is back to full health. Troy Tulowitzki (heel) is set to begin a running program Monday and could return shortly after Diaz, which will create a bit of a logjam in the middle of the Blue Jays' infield.

Anderson jammed his thumb a few days ago but has played through the injury, Phil Thompson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The injury hasn't been a factor at the plate, where Anderson has five hits, including three home runs, over the last two games. In the field, however, he was tagged with three errors (two on the same play) Saturday. "It's feeling better," said Anderson, whose right hand was wrapped. "It's getting better every day so I can't complain."

Anderson went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored Saturday against the Tigers.

Anderson got a hold of his ninth and 10th home runs of the season, one off left-hander Francisco Liriano and the other off righty Louis Coleman. He now has three home runs over his past two games. While his batting average and on-base percentage leave something to be desired, Anderson has turned in strong power and speed production as he now has 10 home runs and 11 stolen bases on the season.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Boston's 6-2 win over Atlanta on Friday.

Bogaerts had cooled a bit following his absurdly hot start to the season, but some regression in his batting average was inevitable, as there was a point where the young shortstop was hitting over .400. His .285/.327/.533 slash line through 137 at-bats remains solid, and Bogaerts' seven homers are now just three shy of the 10 he put up over 571 at-bats last season.

Gordon (toe) fielded grounders and did pregame infield work prior to Friday's series opener against the Twins, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. "He's feeling a lot better," manager Scott Servais said. "He's going to swing the bat a little in the cage or maybe on the field, too. He wanted to take some ground balls right at him. He won't do any hard running or anything for a few days. But he's feeling better."

Gordon reportedly moved around well and remains on track to potentially come off the disabled list Thursday, the first day he's eligible to do so. The speedster has been wearing a walking boot over the last four days to keep pressure off his recovering right toe, and the strategy appears to have paid dividends judging by Gordon's activity level Friday.

Anderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

It's his first homer in 13 games, giving Anderson eight on the season to go along with his .240/.301/.415 slash line. The 24-year-old has had a tough May, hitting only .167 (11-for-66) with 20 strikeouts coming into Friday, but this performance might be a sign he's about to break out of his slump.

Wendle was reinstated from the paternity list Thursday.

The Rays optioned top prospect Willy Adames to clear a roster spot for Wendle after his three-game spell on the paternity list. Wendle has been a solid contributor to this point, slashing .288/.336/.384 while platooning at second base. He's now eligible to return to the lineup as soon as Friday's game against the Orioles.
