Anderson is not in the lineup against Minnesota on Thursday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anderson will head to the bench for the series finale as Jose Rondon picks up a start at shortstop. Over the past 12 games, Anderson is hitting .295 with a 1.036 OPS and 13 RBI.

Correa exited Wednesday's game against the Mariners with right side discomfort, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Correa was 1-for-3 with a walk before being replaced by Marwin Gonzalez prior to the top of the eighth inning. He apparently felt something during his final at-bat in the seventh inning, though specifics remain unclear at this point. Consider the shortstop day-to-day for now. He'll be reevaluated Thursday.

Gordon went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead RBI infield single and a stolen base in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

Gordon coaxed a blooper just over the head of shortstop Daniel Robertson off southpaw Jose Alvarado with one out in the eighth, bringing home what would ultimately prove to be the winning run in a brilliant pitchers' duel. The speedy leadoff man also swiped his 19th bag of the season in the victory, keeping him on pace to potentially reach or eclipse the 60 steals he tallied in Miami last season. After an eight-game slump (4-for-36) that he sandwiched around a 10-day stint on the disabled list due to a toe injury, Gordon bounced back to go 3-for-8 with Sunday's RBI and three stolen bases over the final two games of the series versus the Rays.

Gordon went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

Following an 0-for-6 night Friday in which he struck out twice, Gordon reportedly re-took the field in the wee hours and put in nearly 30 minutes of batting practice off a tee, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. The extra work paid off to a modest extent Saturday, as Gordon snapped an 0-for-10 slump with a first-inning single. He then proceeded to swipe second, which prompted an errant throw from Rays backstop Jesus Sucre and allowed the speedster to advance to third. The play was representative of the dynamic element Gordon brings to the table any time he's on base, making his willingness to put in extra work when he isn't successful all the more important.

Sardinas (back) sustained an ankle injury during his rehab assignment at Triple-A Norfolk, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Sardinas, who has been on the disabled list since the end of April with the back injury, began his rehab stint last week only to suffer the ankle injury. The severity of the ankle issue and whether the back injury still a problem remains unclear, and the 25-year-old currently has no timetable for his return.

Wendle is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Southpaw Marco Gonzales will take the hill for the Mariners, as the Rays responded with an all-right-handed batting lineup. Christian Arroyo will start at second base and bat eighth for Tampa Bay.

Urena required three stitches on his right hand after being spiked on a slide Friday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

Urena was placed on the minor-league disabled list and is expected to miss little more than the seven-day minimum with the laceration. The 22-year-old has a .208/.241/.299 slash line in 77 at-bats with Triple-A Buffalo this season and was 5-for-18 with a home run in his brief stint in the majors.

Herrera was claimed off waivers by the Royals on Saturday.

He was designated for assignment by the Reds, and the Royals decided he was worthy of a spot on their 40-man roster. Herrera goes from an organization with a lot of outfield depth to one with very little outfield depth, so this is a good move for him. He is hitting .267/.320/.500 with three home runs and two steals in 98 Triple-A plate appearances this season.

Sardinas (back) has made two rehab appearances at Triple-A Norfolk, going 0-for-6 at the dish during those contests.

The infielder has been sidelined since late April with a sore back, so he may need to put in a few more games in the minors before the Orioles sign off on his return from the disabled list. Sardinas is expected to serve as a utility man for Baltimore once activated.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-3 win over the Brewers.

Anderson lashed a two-run triple in the sixth inning to break a tie game. It was the fourth straight game with a hit for Anderson, who has batted .344 (11-for-32) with seven extra-base hits (four home runs), 11 RBI and nine runs scored over the last nine games since his season average bottomed out at .230. There was a report earlier in the week about a thumb injury, but that's had more effect on him as a fielder than as a hitter.
