Herrera went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers.

Herrera has now seen time in all three games since being acquired by the Royals, starting in two of them and going 3-for-9 with a couple of RBI. If he continues to hit, the 25-year-old figures to continue seeing somewhat regular playing time in the rebuilding Royals' outfield, especially with Jorge Soler (toe) recently landing on the disabled list.

Manager Ned Yost said Mondesi will start at shortstop a few times per week, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic Kansas City reports.

Mondesi was originally expected to see most of his playing time at second base, but Yost talked to Alcides Escobar -- who has made 405 consecutive starts at shortstop -- and the veteran shortstop assured the manager that he was on board with ceding a few starts to the youngster moving forward. The 22-year-old Mondesi, who is viewed as the Royals' shortstop of the future, is 1-for-7 in two appearances this season.

Adames is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Adames will head to the bench for the first time since joining the Rays early last week -- an eight-game stretch during which he hit just .214/.281/.250. Adeiny Hechavarria will start at shortstop in this one and bat ninth.

Gordon went 3-for-5 in a loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Gordon is in the midst of one of his better stretches at the plate this season, as he's hitting .423 during what is now a six-game hitting streak. The versatile speedster is serving as an excellent table-setter at the top of the order ahead of the likes of Jean Segura, Mitch Haniger and Nelson Cruz, and he's provided some decent pop himself with 14 extra-base hits (11 doubles, two triples and one home run) over his first 62 games.

Fletcher came off the bench Sunday, going 0-for-1 in a 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

After his three-hit debut Wednesday, Fletcher has started just one of the Halos' last three contests. He appears to have settled on the short side of a platoon with Jose Miguel Fernandez, with Luis Valbuena getting the start at either first or third base depending on whether the opposing starter is a righty or a lefty. This situation isn't ideal for Fletcher's fantasy value, and he will likely see his role diminish further when Zack Cozart (hamstring) returns from what should be a brief disabled list stint.

Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and scored two runs in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Mariners.

Bogaerts continues to showcase his power stroke in 2018, swatting his third homer in the last four games. For the season, he's slugging at a .518 clip with a .239 ISO -- both figures are career toppers. What he's done differently this season is make an effort to swing at more balls in the zone. Instead of working at-bats to get walks, he's taking advantage of hit-able pitches early in counts. It's a similar approach he took in 2016 when he hit a career-high 21 homers.

Royals manager Ned Yost said that Mondesi, who was promoted from Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, would play 3-to-4 times per week, Maria Torres of The Kansas City Star reports.

Yost was reluctant to confirm whether Mondesi would play primarily second base or shortstop during his stay with the big club, but the expectation is that the 22-year-old will see most of his action on the right side of the infield. While the Royals don't view Alcides Escobar as a long-term piece, he's made his last 404 starts at shortstop and seems unlikely to shift from the position so long as he remains a lineup regular. Whit Merrifield, on the other hand, has seen action at first base, center field and right field this season, so he could theoretically move to a different position to create room at the keystone for Mondesi. Merrifield ended up exiting Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Astros with a knee contusion, paving the way for Mondesi to make his 2018 debut. The youngster went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts upon entering the game in the bottom of the second inning.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a sac fly and three RBI in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Royals.

It was Correa's 13th long ball of the season alongside 47 RBI and a .855 OPS. The 23-year-old shortstop is starting to catch fire. He has four multi-hit efforts in his last six games with eight RBI and three home runs. With an upcoming series against the Rays, Correa and the Astros should get some favorable matchups to start the fantasy week.

Adames will start at second base and bat fifth Sunday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

For the first time in his 10 appearances this season, Adames will share the middle infield with Adeiny Hechavarria, the man the rookie replaced as the Rays' everyday shortstop. According to Topkin, manager Kevin Cash said that Adames will return to shortstop Monday against the Astros, so it appears Hechavarria's entry into the lineup Sunday was strictly intended to keep the veteran fresh. Don't expect Adames to see much further action at second base going forward, thereby hurting his chances of gaining eligibility at the position in most formats.

Wendle is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

As per usual, Wendle will ride the pine with a lefty (CC Sabathia) taking the hill for the opposition. With Wendle on the bench, Willy Adames will move over to the keystone, opening up a start at shortstop for Adeiny Hechavarria, who had transitioned to a bench role after recently returning from the disabled list.
