Rays' Joey Wendle: Drives in two in loss to Red Sox
Wendle went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox.
The 28-year-old has been on a doubles binge lately, smacking five two-baggers over his last seven games while hitting .333 (9-for-27) with seven RBI. Wendle has emerged as the Rays' regular second baseman, and his current form at the plate -- not to mention his .295/.344/.421 slash line on the season -- should keep him in the heart of the Tampa order.

Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Three extra-base hits in win
Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-3 win over the Rays.
Bogaerts got the Red Sox back in the game after they'd fallen behind 3-0 in the first inning. His two-run triple, his first three-bagger of the year, quickly closed the gap. Watching Bogaerts go off on Tampa Bay pitching isn't a surprise, as Boston's shortstop is 20-for-49 (.408) with 14 extra-base hits in 2018 off the Rays' staff.

Rays' Joey Wendle: Timely double in win
Wendle went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and a run in a win over the Yankees on Thursday.
Wendle's first-inning two-bagger plated Mallex Smith to open the scoring on the afternoon for the Rays against Masahiro Tanaka. The versatile 28-year-old has already matched his July RBI total (nine), and he's followed up last month's .360 average with a .349 figure thus far in August. Wendle's red-hot second half has kept him in the lineup on an everyday basis, propping up his stock across all fantasy formats.

Mariners' Dee Gordon: Pops game-winning homer
Gordon went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Wednesday's win over the A's.
Gordon's second homer of the season was a timely one, putting the Mariners up for good in the top of the 12th inning Wednesday. The speedster missed a couple of games over the weekend with a sore shoulder, but he's collected a hit in both games since returning to the lineup and is in the midst of a modest four-game hit streak. That said, he's slashing just .159/.213/.273 through 12 games this month, and he has just 27 steals on the season after swiping 60 bags a year ago.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: On bench Wednesday
Anderson is not in the lineup versus the Tigers on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Anderson will take a seat for the series finale after picking up two hits during Tuesday's victory. In his absence, Yolmer Sanchez will start at shortstop while Matt Davidson gets the nod at third base.

Adalberto Mondesi SS | BOS
Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Four-hit game with three stolen bases
Mondesi went 4-for-4 with a run, an RBI, two doubles and three stolen bases in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Mondesi slashed a couple singles and notched his seventh and eighth doubles of the year. The young shortstop also accomplished the feat of three stolen bags in a game -- giving him 15 on the season -- twice stealing third base. This was the third time in 38 games this season that Mondesi has stolen multiple bases in a game. The 23-year-old is hitting .279 with four home runs, 15 RBI and 22 runs scored on the year.

Mariners' Dee Gordon: Back in lineup Tuesday
Gordon (shoulder) is starting at second base and hitting ninth Tuesday against the A's, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Gordon, who was a late scratch from Monday's lineup, is slated to rejoin the starting nine after missing the previous two games with a shoulder injury. The speedster is hitting .278/.300/.339 with 27 stolen bases through 107 games this season. He'll face veteran right-hander Mike Fiers in his return to the starting nine.

Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Returns to lineup Tuesday
Bogaerts (finger) is back in action Tuesday against the Phillies, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Bogaerts sat out Sunday's game against the Orioles with a jammed finger, but the issue was evidently not a significant one, as he's back in the lineup following Monday's off day. The shortstop has three steals and a .933 OPS over his last 10 games.

Mariners' Dee Gordon: Late scratch from starting nine
Gordon (shoulder) was removed from Monday's lineup against the Athletics prior to game time, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Gordon was originally penciled into the lineup at second base and he was slated to bat eighth, but Andrew Romine will be forced into action instead. Gordon has been dealing with a shoulder issue as of Sunday, and it appears the injury is still bothering him, so the Mariners will hold him out as a precaution. Expect the 30-year-old to be evaluated once he arrives at the ballpark ahead of Tuesday's tilt.
