  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Hits 10th homer of 2019

Correa went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a triple in an 11-4 victory against the Tigers on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old put together a very strong April, but he's been even better in May. Almost halfway through the month, Correa is hitting .298 with four homers, nine RBI and 10 runs. He's 6-for-13 (.462) with four RBI in the last three contests. Overall, Correa is batting .298 with 10 homers, 27 RBI, 22 runs, one steal and a .589 slugging percentage in 151 at-bats this season.

  • Mariners' Dee Gordon: Not starting Tuesday

Gordon (wrist) is out of Tuesday's lineup against Oakland, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Gordon is set to miss his fifth straight contest since getting drilled by a pitch on his right wrist, though he appears to be making progress towards a return, as he managed to participate in fielding work with the team Monday. He'll benefit from a scheduled off day Wednesday before Seattle's next matchup Thursday against Minnesota.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Collects homer, steal in loss

Lindor went 2-for-2 with a home run, a stolen base, a walk and two RBI in Monday's 5-2 loss to the White Sox.

Lindor was one of the few bright spots for Cleveland as the team suffered its third loss in four games, continuing what has been a regular trend for one of baseball's least-productive offenses. Since returning from the injured list April 20, Lindor hasn't been quite as productive as he was in 2018, but his .296/.333/.494 slash line to go with a 4-for-5 success rate on stolen-base attempts has made him the clear top hitter in the lineup. He'll be back in action for the day game after a night game, slotting in as the leadoff man while occupying shortstop, per Mandy Bell of MLB.com.

  • Mariners' Dee Gordon: Sits again Monday

Gordon (wrist) remains out of the lineup Monday against Oakland, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Gordon hasn't played since getting hit by a pitch Thursday, although Greg Johns of MLB.com reports the infielder took grounders with the rest of the team during batting practice Monday. Shed Long remains the starting second baseman in his absence.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Second straight two-hit game

Lindor went 2-for-4 and scored a run Sunday in the Indians' 5-3 win over the Athletics.

Lindor finished the weekend with back-to-back two-hit performances, propping his average up to .278 since he was activated from the 10-day injured list April 20. There was some concern that the right calf strain Lindor suffered prior to spring training and the left ankle sprain he sustained in late March might limit his impact on the basepaths, but he was successful in his first three stolen-base attempts before being thrown out Sunday.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Responds to regular at-bats

Diaz went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 15-5 win over Texas.

Diaz has started five of the last six games and produced his best stretch of the season, going 5-for-18 (.278) with a home run, seven RBI and three runs scored. A lack of consistent plate appearances has limited Diaz to a .232 batting average, but with Jose Altuve (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list, Diaz will get consistent at-bats over the next week.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Records three hits

Anderson went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run in a 5-1 victory against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

With the three-hit afternoon, Anderson improved to 8-for-25 (.320) with two homers and six RBI in the last seven games. He's only walked six times this season, but Anderson still supports a healthy .331/.362/.535 slash line. Anderson also has eight home runs, 24 RBI and 25 runs in 142 at-bats this year.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Batting second again

Crawford will start at shortstop and bat second Sunday against the Red Sox, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Crawford will slot into the two hole for the second game in a row, with the Mariners likely hoping the on-base skills he displayed in the minors carry over in his return to the big leagues. The 24-year-old's stay in the lineup could prove to be short-lived, however, as the Mariners have thus far resisted moving Dee Gordon (wrist) to the injured list and view the speedy second baseman as day-to-day.

  • Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA

Twins' Ehire Adrianza: Gets third straight start

Adrianza will start at second base and bat seventh Sunday against the Tigers, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Adrianza was in the lineup for both halves of Saturday's doubleheader, finishing the day 1-for-6 with a pair of walks. Though he'll stick in the starting nine Sunday in place of a resting Jonathan Schoop, Adrianza likely won't be in store for a more extended run in the lineup anytime soon while he maintains a .423 OPS on the season.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Filling in for Altuve

Diaz will start at second base and bat seventh Sunday against the Rangers, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

For the first time all season, Diaz should have a clear path to a full-time role for a steady stretch of action after Jose Altuve (hamstring) was moved to the 10-day injured list Saturday. Yuli Gurriel will occasionally be a factor at the keystone when Diaz rests, but the latter should otherwise handle the bulk of the starts at the position for at least the next week and a half. Diaz has slashed a mediocre .219/.246/.422 over 69 plate appearances, but playing in a talent-packed Houston lineup has allowed him to rack up 15 RBI.
