Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Slugs 18th homer
Pena went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Athletics.
Pena took Adrian Martinez deep in the fifth inning to tally his 18th homer of the season. He has at least one hit in 13 of his last 16 games while maintaining a .290 average with nine runs scored in that span. Overall, Pena has slowed considerably since his hot start to the season and has a 95 wRC+ and .300 wOBA across 497 plate appearances as a result.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Delivers two-out runs
Seager went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 4-3 win over the Rays.
Seager didn't allow the Rangers to waste a two-on, two-out situation in the fourth, delivering both runners with a double. He hasn't hit well during September, batting .169, but he's had key hits and knocked in nine runs over 14 games this month. For the season, Seager has a .918 OPS with runners in scoring position.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: Headed to injured list
Fletcher (hand) will be placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Fletcher was hit by a pitch on his hand last Saturday and underwent a CT scan Friday that came back negative. He's believed to be dealing with a bone bruise, but the Angels hope he'll be cleared to return following a minimal IL stint. If that's the case, Fletcher would have a chance to contribute during the final week of the regular season.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Collects three hits, swipes bag
Baez went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, a run scored, a stolen base and a walk in Friday's 3-2 win over the White Sox.
Baez fell a homer shy of the cycle Friday while stealing his ninth base of the year. Despite a mostly down year from the veteran infielder, he's now gone 19-for-53 (.358) with six extra-base hits in 14 games this month. Still, he's slashing just .238/.280/.386 with 54 runs scored through 128 games this season.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: Getting CT scans
Fletcher will undergo a CT scan on his right hand Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Fletcher was hit by a pitch in the hand last Saturday and continues to experience some soreness nearly a week later. The 28-year-old came off the bench Tuesday against Cleveland and was also in the lineup Wednesday, but he was limited to bunt attempts at the plate. Fletcher is unsurprisingly out of the lineup Friday versus the Mariners, and his availability for the rest of the weekend is up in the air.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Swinging and fielding
Anderson (hand) said he has started swinging and fielding grounders, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Anderson also said that he doesn't know when exactly he will return or whether or not he'll need to rehab in the minors. His main concern seems to be returning to full strength so he can be of use when he does return.

Red Sox's Trevor Story: Remains out of lineup
Story (heel) isn't starting Friday against the Royals, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
The Red Sox hoped that Story would return to action Friday, but he'll remain out of the lineup for a third consecutive game. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench if needed, but Christian Arroyo will start at the keystone and bat seventh.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Smacks 11th homer
Diaz went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Thursday against the Athletics.
Diaz entered the lineup with Jose Altuve getting a day of rest, though he doesn't project to have a consistent spot in the lineup for the final few weeks of the season. Nevertheless, Diaz provided the game-winning runs Thursday by hitting his 11th home run of the campaign in the seventh frame. He has drawn two starts since being activated from the injured list Sep. 13, and he's gone 3-for-7 in that limited sample. For the campaign, Diaz has a .256/.306/.419 slash line across 278 plate appearances.
