Mikolas was removed from Saturday's start against the Cubs with right forearm tightness, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

The 32-year-old surrendered one run over four frames during his first outing since the 2019 playoffs, but he left the contest after the forearm issue cropped up while warming up for the fifth inning. It's obviously a worrying development for Mikolas, who missed the entirety of last season due to surgery on his right flexor tendon. According to Zachary Silver of MLB.com, the right-hander is unsurprisingly undergoing an MRI to help determine the severity of the issue.

Gonsolin (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, Oklahoma City Dodgers broadcaster Alex Freedman reports.

The 27-year-old is expected to throw two innings during his first rehab appearance as he builds up his stamina. The Dodgers previously indicated they want Gonsolin stretched out to at least four innings before being activated from the injured list, so he's poised to make a few starts in the minors.

Mikolas (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day injured list as expected ahead of his scheduled start Saturday against the Cubs.

Mikolas missed all of last season with a forearm injury and has been out since the start of this year with a shoulder issue. He's looked good in three rehab outings, posting a 3.65 ERA and an 11:2 K:BB in 12.1 innings for Triple-A Memphis. He threw 80 pitches in his most recent rehab start, so he should be able to get close 100 pitches Saturday if all goes well. Seth Elledge was optioned in a corresponding move.

Rutledge was removed from Friday's start for High-A Wilmington with right shoulder discomfort, Todd Dybas of Inside the Clubhouse reports.

Rutledge threw 17 pitches and recorded one out before exiting with the injury and will be evaluated Saturday. Something certainly seems to be off for the 22-year-old righty, as he has given up 15 earned runs with a 10:9 K:BB in 10.2 innings over four starts at High-A.

Stroman didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 extra-innings win over the Marlins, giving up two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out eight.

While he wasn't rewarded with a win in the 12-inning affair, Stroman came through with a strong performance at a crucial time for the injury-ravaged Mets. It was his fifth quality start of the season, and the right-hander will take a 2.73 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 43:11 K:BB through 52.2 innings into his next outing.

Paddack (2-3) earned the win over Seattle on Friday, hurling six innings and allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six.

Paddack gave up a run in the first inning, but the San Diego offense handed him eight runs by the end of the second frame, allowing the right-hander to cruise through the remainder of his start. He finished having thrown a season-high six innings and has now yielded only two earned runs over his past three outings covering 13 frames. He'll look to build more momentum in his next appearance, which is currently slated to come at Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Wood (5-1) was charged with the loss Friday against the Dodgers, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven.

Wood pitched well despite receiving the first blemish on his record -- the only runs he allowed came as the result of a two-run homer by Chris Taylor in the third inning. The southpaw was otherwise very effective against his former team, notching his fifth quality start in seven appearances this season. Wood has been a great addition to San Francisco's pitching staff, posting a 1.93 ERA and 42:11 K:BB through 42 innings on the campaign. He's lined up to next face the Dodgers again Thursday, this time in Los Angeles.

Houser (3-5) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Reds after giving up six runs on five hits and four walks while fanning four across four innings.

Houser needed 91 pitches (49 strikes) just to get through four innings and saw his day cut short, and he was tagged with the loss. The right-hander gave up a season-high six runs and has allowed two or more runs in seven straight appearances. Houser has now posted a 5.68 during May.

Marquez (3-4) pitched seven scoreless innings Friday, giving up four hits and three walks while striking out eight to earn the win over the Diamondbacks.

Marquez equaled his longest start this season while tossing his first scoreless outing of the year. His start is even more notable as it came at Coors Field. The 26-year-old's last start at home was a disaster -- he surrendered eight runs without making it out of the first inning. Marquez has a 4.82 ERA and 1.59 WHIP with a 1.87 K/BB in 52.1 innings.

Martinez yielded two runs on four hits and a walk over six innings in Friday's loss to the Cubs. He struck out two and did not factor in the decision.

Martinez got off to a rocky start, serving up a leadoff homer to Joc Pederson on the very first pitch of the game. He settled in for the rest of the outing and the only other run he allowed came on a sacrifice fly by Pederson in the fifth. It was Martinez's first appearance since May 8 when he walked five and gave up five runs. The 29-year-old is sporting a 4.18 ERA and a 24:15 K:BB through eight starts this season. He's lined up to start in Arizona next week.
