Hendricks (4-4) allowed three runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk over 6.2 innings Friday, striking out four and earning a win over the Cardinals.

Hendricks allowed an RBI double to Tommy Edman in the third inning then held the Cardinals in check until Paul Goldschmidt laced a two-run double in the sixth. He earned his second straight win to get to .500 for the first time this season alongside a 4.74 ERA. The 31-year-old right-hander is lined up for a good matchup in Pittsburgh next week.

Strasburg (1-1) gave up one hit, four walks and zero runs while striking out four in 5.1 innings Friday against the Orioles en route to his first win of the season.

His fastball was sitting in the low-90s and his control was a little off, but the Orioles couldn't do much against him in his first start since April 13. Strasburg only threw 72 pitches, and he will look to build on that in his next start, which projects to be Thursday at home against the Reds.

Anderson (4-1) picked up the win Friday, giving up six hits over six scoreless innings in a 20-1 rout of the Pirates. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Atlanta piled up seven homers and 14 total extra-base hits as it gave Anderson a month's worth of run support in one evening. The right-hander delivered his third straight quality start and fifth of the season, and he'll take a 2.82 ERA and 53:21 K:BB through 51 innings into his next outing.

Anderson (3-4) took the loss Friday as the Pirates were routed 20-1 by Atlanta, surrendering nine runs on 10 hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

The seven whiffs tied his season high, but that's cold comfort for any fantasy GMs who had the southpaw active. Anderson went five straight starts without serving up any homers in April and early May, but he's now been taken deep five times in his last two trips to the mound. He'll carry a 4.73 ERA and 51:16 K:BB through 51.1 innings into his next outing.

Nola (3-4) took the loss Friday against the Red Sox after allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and a walk while fanning nine across five innings.

Nola's nine strikeouts were just one away from tying his season-best mark in that department, but he's also allowed at least three earned runs in three straight outings while losing in each one of those appearances. The star right-hander will try to bounce back in his next start, scheduled for next week on the road against the Marlins.

Gallen (elbow) has begun playing catch, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

He is out with a UCL sprain, so playing light catch isn't necessarily an optimistic sign. Even if Gallen is able to return to the big-league rotation sometime this summer, he will be at risk of re-injury that could lead to surgery.

Anderson will move to the bullpen, with Spencer Howard set to start in his place Saturday against the Red Sox, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Anderson won an Opening Day rotation spot but did very little to keep it, struggling to a 6.96 ERA and 1.61 WHIP through eight starts. Those numbers look worryingly similar to his 7.22 ERA and 1.63 WHIP from 2020. He'll make way for the Phillies' top pitching prospect for now, but it's possible he's needed in the rotation again soon, as Vince Velasquez's status remains uncertain after getting scratched from his Thursday start due to a numb finger.

Steele was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

Steele was lifted from his outing Thursday against the Nationals with what was originally called hamstring tightness, but it appears that the issue is worse than originally reported. He'll sit for at least 10 days and potentially more than that, as his strain is a moderate one, per Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times. Brad Wieck was recalled in a corresponding move.

DeGrom (side) is expected to pitch somewhere Tuesday, but whether that comes against the Rockies or in a rehab game remains to be seen, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

DeGrom was originally expected to miss just one turn in the rotation while dealing with side soreness, but he threw a rehab game Thursday rather than return to the big-league rotation. Previous reports indicated he'd return to the active roster Tuesday, but it looks as though the Mets have yet to make a decision about their ace's immediate future.

Strasburg (shoulder) was activated from the injured list as expected ahead of his scheduled start Friday against Baltimore, Maria Torres of The Athletic reports.

Strasburg made just two starts before being shut down with shoulder inflammation. He's ready to go after missing more than a month and should be able to handle close to a full workload, as he threw 75 pitches in a rehab start Sunday. Kyle McGowin was optioned in a corresponding move.
