Gallen didn't factor into the decision during Friday's 6-5 defeat at the hands of the Mets, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings.

Making his second start against New York, Gallen retired the first nine Mets before allowing one run and all three baserunners in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old righty has now thrown nine innings on the season, permitting one run and six baserunners with nine strikeouts, and has flashed the upside that convinced Arizona to trade for him back in 2019. He'll make his third start of the season against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Lugo saved a 6-5 victory over Arizona on Friday, allowing one walk with two strikeouts in the 10th inning.

After closer Edwin Diaz faltered in the ninth inning, Lugo was brought in for the 10th, when New York took the lead and delivered with a quick and easy inning. He appears locked into the setup role despite a high 5.68 ERA, which is mostly the result of one poor outing.

Peterson didn't factor into the decision during Friday's 6-5 win over Arizona, allowing one run on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Pitching for a second straight time against the Diamondbacks, Peterson fared nearly as well despite surrendering his first run of the season but was left unsatisfied when the bullpen blew a four-run lead. The 26-year-old has now allowed just one run in 14 innings this season while permitting 14 baserunners compared to 10 strikeouts. With an off day next week, manager Buck Showalter has opted to skip Peterson though that decision is made more difficult by another successful turn.

Urias (1-1) registered the win during Friday's 6-1 victory over the Padres, allowing one run on two hits and three walks with six strikeouts in five innings.

Urias let a run cross the plate in the second inning but was able to stop the damage there in time for Los Angeles to rally with two runs in the fifth to put him in line for the win. After a clunker in Colorado during his first turn, the 25-year-old has thrown a combined 10 innings while allowing one run and just seven baserunners with 11 strikeouts over his last two appearances. The schedule has him set to face off against Arizona on Wednesday for his next start.

Feltner (2-0) allowed one earned run on two hits and three walks while striking out 10 across five innings to earn the win Friday against Triple-A Round Rock.

Feltner turned in a dominant performance that continued his strong start to the season with Triple-A Albuquerque. He's maintained a 3.10 ERA with a 24:8 K:BB while allowing three home runs across 20.1 frames, marks that are made more impressive given the hitter-friendly nature of the PCL. Feltner made his major-league debut in 2021, and he should have the chance to enter the Rockies' rotation at some point in the 2022 campaign.

Smyly (1-1) was charged with the loss Friday against the Pirates after allowing four runs on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk across five innings.

The left-hander gave up two runs on two hits and a walk during the second inning, and Michael Chavis and Roberto Perez tacked on solo homers in the fourth and fifth frames. Smyly delivered 9.2 scoreless innings across his first two starts of 2022 but was bit Friday by Pittsburgh. He'll carry a 2.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB into his next start, which projects for Thursday in Atlanta.

Quintana allowed two runs on three hits and three walks over 4.2 innings during Friday's 4-2 win against the Cubs. He had three strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

Quinanta was solid through four frames and allowed a one-out single to Nico Hoerner during the fifth, and the left-hander was pulled at 87 pitches after Hoerner advanced to second base on a groundout. Quintana had to settle for a no-decision and remains in search of his first victory of 2022. The 33-year-old has a 3.86 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 8:8 K:BB across 14 innings through three starts, and he next lines up to pitch versus Milwaukee on Thursday.

Snell (groin) is expected to throw a simulated game Saturday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Snell went on the 10-day IL after groin tightness prevented him from making a scheduled start April 10. He threw a bullpen session April 19 and is scheduled to face batters in a simulated game Saturday. If that goes well, Snell could return to the Padres by the end of the month.

Matz (2-1) earned the win Friday at Cincinnati after giving up one run on seven hits with six strikeouts and two walks across five innings.

The left-hander surrendered a run on two hits and walk during the fifth inning, though he otherwise kept the Reds off the board. Matz surrendered seven runs in his first start of the season, but he's allowed only one run with a 12:2 K:BB across 10.2 frames in his past two outings. The 30-year-old lines up to pitch against the Mets next week.

Saurez allowed one run on four hits and three walks over 4.2 frames in Friday's 4-2 win over Milwaukee. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.

The lone run to score against Suarez was Hunter Renfroe's sacrifice fly in the third frame. He threw 55 of 89 pitches for strikes and forced eight whiffs in the outing. The 26-year-old southpaw is now sporting a 4.38 ERA with a 9:7 K:BB through 12.1 innings this season. Suarez is projected to start at home against the Rockies next week.
