Stoudt was traded from the Mariners to the Reds along with Noelvi Marte, Edwin Arroyo and Andrew Moore in exchange for Luis Castillo on Friday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Stoudt was seen as one of the Mariners' top 10 or 15 prospects coming into the year, but he has struggled quite a bit at Double-A, logging a 5.28 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 82 strikeouts in 87 innings. The 24-year-old righty could develop into a back-end starter or a swingman.

Peralta (lat) gave up one run on three hits and zero walks while striking out five and touching 96 mph with his fastball Friday for Triple-A Nashville, Sounds announcer Jeff Hem reports.

He built up to 52 pitches, leaving with a runner at third who came around to score. Peralta threw two innings and struck out three his last time out, so he is trending in the right direction. It's unclear how many more rehab starts he will require before rejoining the Brewers' rotation.

Musgrove agreed to a five-year, $100 million contract extension with the Padres on Friday, Annie Heilbrunn of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The 29-year-old righty was about to become a free agent after this season, and now he will be sticking around through what will likely be the rest of his prime years. Musgrove has a career-low 2.63 ERA and career-best 0.99 WHIP in 109.1 innings. He also has a chance to top his career high of 11 wins. (He's currently sitting with eight.)

An MRI on Gore's elbow revealed no structural damage and the expectation is that he will be shut down for two weeks before beginning a throwing program, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Cassavell says the Padres are very encouraged by the MRI results. There may not be enough time for Gore to ramp all the way back up and rejoin the big club this season, but that hasn't been ruled out. The main takeaway is that Gore will not be headed for surgery, at least not yet.

Flaherty (shoulder) recently threw a light side session, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Flaherty has been on the injured list since late June with a right shoulder strain and isn't eligible to return until late August after he was transferred to the 60-day IL. However, the Cardinals hope that the right-hander will be able to rejoin the team soon to continue his rehab process with the major-league training staff.

Meyer (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Meyer needs Tommy John surgery, and it couldn't have come at a worse time on the calendar as he may not be ready for game action until after the 2023 season. In the meantime, Trevor Rogers also landed on the shelf with backs spasms, so Nick Neidert may be on his way up from Triple-A to join the Marlins' rotation.

Rogers was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with lower-back spasms, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rogers has a 6.67 ERA, 1.72 WHIP, 54 strikeouts and two wins in his last 55.1 innings (12 starts). Nick Neidert is expected to take Rogers' spot in the rotation Saturday against the Mets.

Megill (shoulder) will likely work out of the bullpen once he is activated, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

He began a throwing program a couple weeks ago but has not begun a rehab assignment yet. Megill made waves as a starter earlier this season, so he may be stretched out next spring after potentially helping the Mets make a playoff run while getting big outs in relief.

Gore may be able to avoid surgery on his elbow, but he'll continue to be evaluated for the next few days, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Gore was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday and the team's medical staff is still determining the extent of his injury. While it's possible the southpaw will be able to recover with a period of rest and rehab, it seems likely he'll need more than the minimum 15 days on the shelf.

Feltner was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

He has a 6.15 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 33.2 innings in the majors this season. Feltner last pitched July 24 at Triple-A and tossed five innings, so he should be capable of working in long relief this weekend at home against the Dodgers.
