Lopez agreed to a one-year, $5.45 million contract with the Marlins on Friday to avoid arbitration, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

Lopez made $2.45 million in his first year of arbitration eligibility last season, and he'll more than double that salary in 2023. The 26-year-old had a 3.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 174:53 K:BB over 180 innings last year.

Buehler (elbow) and the Dodgers agreed on a one-year, $8.025 million contract Friday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Buehler and the team will avoid the arbitration headache after they were able to finalize a deal Friday. The right-hander underwent Tommy John surgery in August and may not pitch in 2023 as a result. Prior to injuring his elbow, Buehler produced an uncharacteristic 4.02 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 58 strikeouts over 65 innings in 12 starts last season.

Flaherty signed a one-year, $5.4 million contract with the Cardinals on Friday to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Flaherty was in his final year of arbitration eligibility. He'll hope to remain healthy in his walk year after being limited to just 114.1 innings over the last two seasons because of oblique and shoulder issues. Flaherty represents a risky mid- to late-round pick in fantasy leagues for 2023 but one with obvious upside.

Montgomery agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with the Cardinals on Friday to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

The left-hander was acquired from the Yankees at the 2022 trade deadline and is entering his final year of arbitration eligibility, and he'll receive a nice raise for 2023 after he made $6 million last year. Montgomery had a 3.48 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 158:36 K:BB across a career-high 178.1 innings last season, and he'll be a key piece of the Cardinals' rotation in 2023.

Gomber agreed Wednesday with the Rockies on a one-year, $1.65 million deal to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Gomber split time between the rotation and the bullpen in 2022, logging a 5.56 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 95:34 K:BB in 124.2 innings. With Colorado making no major additions to its pitching staff so far this offseason, Gomber will likely get another chance this spring to audition for a rotation spot, but he'll presumably have a short leash even if he breaks camp with a starting role.

Cueto signed a one-year, $6 million contract with a $10.5 million club option for 2024 with the Marlins on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The buyout on the option is $2.5 million, so Cueto is guaranteed at least $8.5 million in the deal. It's a move that adds depth to a Marlins rotation which already had lots of it, so it would make sense if the team flipped at least one starter for lineup help. Cueto is coming off a nice 2022 campaign with the White Sox that saw him post a 3.35 ERA with 102 strikeouts across 158.1 innings. His fantasy appeal is limited to deeper formats.

Miley agreed to a one-year, $4.5 million contract with the Brewers on Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Miley battled numerous injuries last season and threw only 37 innings for the Cubs, and he'll remain in the NL Central for the 2023 campaign. The veteran left-hander salvaged his MLB career on a minor-league deal with Milwaukee in 2018 with a 2.57 ERA in 16 starts, and the Brewers are hoping for another resurgent season after an injury-plagued 2022 campaign. According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Miley's deal includes a $10 million mutual option for 2024 with a $1 million buyout, plus up to $1.5 million of incentives.

Davies re-signed Wednesday with the Diamondbacks on a one-year, $5 million contract that includes up to $3 million in incentives, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Though Davies declined his side of a $1.5 million mutual option for 2023 to become a free agent earlier this offseason, he'll ultimately return to Arizona at a higher salary figure for the upcoming campaign. While his peripherals weren't outstanding last season (4.71 SIERA, 8.8 K-BB%), Davies remained a serviceable innings eater at the back end of the rotation while logging 27 starts in total. Davies will likely open the 2023 season with a rotation spot, though he could give way to one of the Diamondbacks' many pitching prospects before the end of the year.

Hill signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Pirates on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Hill is coming off a season with the Red Sox which saw him put up a 4.27 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 109 strikeouts over 124.1 innings covering 26 starts. He'll turn 43 in March but has remained mostly effective in recent years, albeit with a drop in strikeout rate. Hill will be a candidate to be traded to a contender at the deadline if he's healthy and pitching well.

Lucchesi agreed to a one-year, $1.15 million contract with the Mets to avoid arbitration Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Lucchesi's salary will remain identical to what he earned in 2022, though he didn't pitch at all while recovering from Tommy John surgery. Lucchesi was able to build up to multiple innings in late September on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse, which should provide some optimism that he'll be ready to pitch to start 2023. He'll likely begin the season in the Mets' bullpen, though he could make spot starts as needed.
